Nice goal. The Faroese defence should have never given him that much room.

I am shocked to see a few Israeli fans at the game. Normally not too many away fans travel to the Faroe Islands.

So, is Goal Differential the first tiebreaker?

Nimni's goal came from a little cutback he did to fool the defenders moving toward him.

    Re: Update

Israel should get even more chances now as the Faroe Islands will be forced to open up a little more.

The Faroese player who just came off was once in the Arsenal youth system. Just thought I would throw out a useless Faroese fact. :)

Israel is giving the Faroese way too much space and time on the ball. Balili has been having trouble not getting called on his aggressiveness. In the 63rd Avi Nimni received the ball and they had like a 4 on 2 or something. Avi Nimni did his little cutback but his shot was wide.

The Faroese defence has been playing very dirty on Pini Balili, though he came off now for Idan Tal.

No the tie breakers are in order
Points in games among tied teams
GD in games among tied teams
Goals scored in games among tied teams
    GD in all matches

Israel will be tied in the first tie breaker with any potential rival as well as in the second tie breaker
Therefore it will come down to the third if there is a tie at all

Israel has 7 goals in those 6 matches
IRE and SWI are 4 in 4
    FRA is 1 in 4
Clearly whoever created this new tiebreak system is a jew:)

If Grant is playing to win 1-0 I will go nuts. The Faroese are dying to be the "giant killers" of this group and they could unless we secure another goal or two. If Benayoun had others to work with maybe this would be different. Otherwise only the players who play abroad are playing well.

Benayoun is clearly the best attacker on the team. Is Yaniv Katan even on the field? He's supposed to be a decent player, no?

Israel plays way too comfortable and it could cost them. We can't sit back like we do when we are drawn. We need to be on the attack a bit like we are down a goal if you ask me.

That was too close for comfort! Faroes are starting to attack too much.

On the other end, Israel sends in a cross, but it's a weak one, and cleared easily.

    Switzerland vs. Cyprus

The Swiss are already beating the Cypriots 1-0.

A great chance for Nimny, but he's stopped by the keeper sliding at him.
The Faroes counter, but once again their final cross from the left wing lacks quality.

It seems as though Avi Nimni has had the most shots on goal than anyone else. Yaniv Katan scores the second on a good cross from Adoram Keisi. Meets it with his right foot and it rolls past the keeper.

    Yaniv Katan scores!
He converted a nice cross with his right foot, and Israel will surely win now.

Some really bad calls here. For instance, Benayoun was on side and could have been alone on the 'keeper but he was called offside. I would love to see the boys get some more but now they seem to be playing better with Benayoun heading the ball past the keeper in the 83rd but it was cleared off the line.

The Faroese had their best chance of the game in the 85th minute with the ball bobbling around the box. No call until it was hit out but one of the Faroese handled the ball in the box. Moshe Biton comes on for Yaniv Katan in the 86th minute. It doesn't look as though Grant is settling for just two.

Avi Nimni could have had anywhere between 3-5 goals today if he would finish his chances. It would be great if Israel got a third. They would be the only other country to get a third in the Faroe Islands.

The Faroese shirt tug as I will call it now has been a deadly weapon against us ruining many of our attacks.
