Free kick to the Faroes goes over the bar but it was a beautiful free kick that dropped at the right moment.

The game is on Faroese national radio, but that probably doesn't help you out that much. ;)

Avi Nimni is really stinking it up. This guy doesn't deserve to be on the national team letalone wear the captain's armband. We look like we should be the Faroe Islands and they should be Israel.

At least Isreal and Ireland got to play in Torshavn. We had to play in Toftir where the winds are even stronger...

One of the most beautiful stadiums in Europe though....

I saw Scotland and Bosnia in Toftir back in 1999. Great experience.

In the 40th Yossi had a golden chance dribbling into the box but whoever was making the other run didn't understand him. Balili finally learned and just bodied a run into the box but he fouled the keeper.

Is this stream that i'm watching live? Benayoun just played a 1-2 and missed wide from 6 yards. Then, 45 seconds later, #7 for Israel slid in on goal but was called for fouling the keeper.

Chances are the stream could be delayed by a few seconds, or minutes.

Benayoun seems to be the only one running at the Faroe backline.

2 minutes of injury time. Hopefully a lucky 2 minutes.

I know that alot of countries only scored in the second half but this is pathetic. We should have sent Maccabi Petah Tikva. They would have scored six(6) goals by now. No reason in my opinion to put Moshe Biton in though, but Omer Golan would be a plus. Abbas Suan hasn't been strong and Walid Badir has been a bit invisible. Definently missing Idan Tal.

Good result for the Faroe Islands. Obviously they are playing it tight in the back and hoping for a good chance on the counter attack.

    Re: Huh?

As of half-time. Good for the Faroese to hold it to 0-0. The longer it stays at that score the better. An early goal usually kills the Faroese and the game ends up being a comfortable win for the opposing team. At least that didn't happen this time.

    :)

... as you said, it is far from over. Plenty of time for the Faroese to get a goal. ;)

I was afraid this might happen, it is so difficult to score against 11 men behind the ball. Thank God goal difference is not the first tie breaker or we could already forget about the world cup.

On behalf of all of us cheering for the dream scenario of a US World Cup seed (including this fan whose second team is Iran) , I just want to say "Go Israel!". Get that goal!

Israel botches about three easy chances so far, but the goal looks to be on its way.

Nasty challenge by Israel on a Faroese player.
