Is This The Best DC United Team Ever, Or Just The Best Soccer Team Ever? [R]

Wow - - you're not gonna believe this, but there are some Grade A weiners that started a similar thread on the DC Boards:

    http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=511592

If you actually believe DC's own press, they have these wonderful secret agents spread throughout South America, who, at this very minute, are scouring every slum and grass hut for the top talent, and scooping up bargain players that will play all year long for two bushels of bananas and a teeny paycheck to cover the train ride to Foggy Bottom.

Here's some more bull shit for you to enjoy: "DC United buys off the rack, Not European Catwalks" http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/06/AR2007040601889.html

Ooooooh, Ahhhhhh! Honestly, you'd think these self-congratulatory fuckheads boarded the Nina, Pinta, and the Santa Maria and sailed off into the abyss and stumbled upon  a whole new continent called "South America"!

Gimme a fooking break, assh0les, you just got clubbed mercilessly by Mexicans on an otherwise 3-game losing streak, and now you were hopelessly outplayed by the world powerhouse Culorado Half Empty FC.

Herculez could have set a nice picnic lunch in the empty space ceded to him at the 6 yard line box, but instead he waited patiently for the corner kick to ricochet off his head, completely unhindered by DC United. Look closely at the replay and you'll see Herc was actually chatting on his annoying Bluetooth earphone telling his girlfriend, "I gotta go honey, in a few seconds I'm gonna score an easy header. I love you baby, bye bye."

Apparently South Americans aren't paid enough to play defense, or perhaps we can blame it on the terrible US dollar / banana exchange rate.

Anyway, if you haven't figgered it out yet, the answer to the title question is "no".

Have a nice day DC fan.

    Stupid Fucking Whore.

    She's right.

Boastful claims and heady predictions only piss off the Soccer Gods. Even though we did better in the CONCACAF Champions Cup than any other MLS team since the year 2000, we have a lot to get to work on if we are going to win all the rest of the silverware this year.

But then that's the burden of being DC United, you are expected to be Champions, while other teams are just shooting for being able to make the playoffs again...

I guess that makes YOU single-handedly responsible for DCU folding like a cheap-ass k-mart lawn chair, on opening day...

    How so...?

I make an effort to boast only about past accomplishments instead of making predictions, mainly to avoid the jinxing effect they cause >>> kinda like what happened with all that Houston smack you threw out before your Pachuca choke.

    Ouch

But then again, what else should we expect from the fan (you) that single-handedly caused the Quakes to move out of town (by being such a flaming jack ass).

You are the one surfing gay porn sites for that pic kid, not me

Plus, you cannot spell the name Galaxy with out the word "Gay". Thus the hidden attraction for you and the rest of the LA Twats... Now you know the truth.

But in your defense, you don't live in the Bay Area, so Quakes still has you all beat in living the alternative lifestyle.

Just a little note, if you lose to Houston on Sunday, your team starts right where you spent most of last season, in last place.

    How fitting.

    Go Houston...! :D

    Dude,

An "after" shot of you during your days of trying to become "head altar boy" at your childhood church has nothing to do with opening day. Oh wait, now I get it, how witty......

I'm sorry, when did the Revulsion win an important international match?
    Never?
    Oh, Ok.

Also, if we go beyond 2000, that includes our CCC Win in 98' so if anything, keeping things to this millennium is modest.

Losing by 1 goal on aggregate to Chivas is a hell of a late closer than most teams have kept things against Mexican clubs.

yah! 3 cheers for almost winning.

if we hadn't lost, we would have won.

if a tie is "like kissing your cousin" than this huge feat of accomplishment (losing to chivas) must have been like rimming your cousin while she has a bout of diarhia.:p

was it everything you hoped for?

    Ahem.

Houston lost by just one goal (in extra time) and beat a CR side....i would rank that better than your performance.

    Hey Dumb Ass

Being as the "Golden Years" of MLS clubs winning CONCACAF Champions Cup were easier competitive situations, than what the MLS Clubs have faced in the recent years...

You damn straight that kicking the crap otta Olimpia, and then losing by one damn goal, between two games to Chivas is an accomplishment.

The "from Y2K" isn't to exclude the Gals last win, rather to point out that the Galaxy, DC United, and everyone else that have participated since the changes have done less.

You don't like it, then have the Rev's win the MLS Cup, or Supporter's Shield and they can try to do better than we did this year...

Oh, wait a sec, I guess that is asking the impossible. Oooops, sorry bout that

Hmmm good question, here's one for you

Are the Red Bulls planning to only play for a tie every game (again), just like last season...?

Wait, I found the answer to the question I asked you, here it is:
    me·di·oc·ri·ty

    1. The state or quality of being mediocre. 2. Mediocre ability, achievement, or performance. 3. One that displays mediocre qualities.

    Cool.
does that mean if you lose to a ************ team like colorado, you actually lose 1/2 point instead of getting no points?
