Across the bottom ticker of my local Fox affiliate this morning, they made it even funnier:

Santorum surges from behind in Iowa

I would hope that people do. The government shouldn't be in bedrooms. (Although incest between parent and child is problematic and arguably not a decision made of free will given the parent's control on a child, but that's a side issue.)

I looked up Santorum's economic plan. He would halve corporate taxes and slash personal taxes for the wealthy. No defense cuts. Privatize Social Security, do the Ryan plan of vouchers for Medicare.

Good luck taking that message outside of evangelical Iowa.

Man the Republicans are divided on foreign policy. Santorum and Romney advocate Doing What Putin Would Do (if Putin's economy were bigger), Ron Paul is extreme in the other direction, and the other candidates are all over the map.

Good thing for the Reeps that foreign policy is such a minor issue these days, because the party is vulnerable on that score.

Just in the nick of time too. Although I shouldn't get my hopes up because once Romney pounds everyone in New Hampshire it'll be pretty much over.

I always thought he looked like he was thinking "I hope dad doesn't notice the buttplug is missing."

I just noticed that he threw adultery into that mix. I can understand all the other objections--bigamy involves lying and hiding spouses from each other, polygamy in practice, if not in theory, is all-too-often a patriarchal institution which subjegates women, and I'm pretty comforable guessing that adult, consentual incest is VERY MUCH the exception to the rule--but adultery? Why on earth should the government be getting involved in that?

Ah you know it goes, Republicans believe in freedom to buy weapons and tyranny in the bedroom, and Dems believe in the opposite.

I would love to impose that plan on the evangelicals in Iowa, and then come back in 5 years and see how it's working out for them...

From the Gingrich thread, 2.5 weeks ago:

    And now from PPP:

With voters who decided in the last week: Santorum 29, Romney 17, Paul 13

Paul, Romney, Santorum all within 2 points of each other

Looks to me like this year's Huck. Running on personality and social issues, popular with old white evangelicals. He'll make noise in Iowa, Arkansas, Tennessee, and the like. No real chance at winning the nomination.

He seems like a decent guy and not a phoney automaton like Romney, but that thing about the premature baby is creepy. And then his remarks yesterday claiming moral superiority over anyone who would find that weird... not sure about that.
