Many on here have said before that the Irish league is just as hack-happy as MLS if not more so. I used to think that being on a champion's league team and playing the competition that entails made up for this and made it a good spot to grow. Edu certainly seemed to improve his last season there, but with the incidents of abuse Edu has reported followed by the latest story from Beasley, I'm no longer sure the pros outweigh the cons.

    Beasley's car fire-bombed by thugs

    Thoughts?

    Otter: "Irish?"

Yeah I think they should leave Ireland and go play in Spain with Donovan, Dempsey and Howard. Or maybe go to Italy with Bradley and Cherundolo.

LOL, ok let me put it another way.

If in the highly unlikely event that Orozco or Findley or Kljestan came to you for advice with an offer from a top Irish club, would you say to take it or stay in MLS?

    :D

But honestly, I think the MLS is jut as good for players as the Irish league or Scotland, except for Celtic/Rangers.
So, stay in MLS unless one of those two teams offer. No other offer is worth it at all.

Hey, the Dublin Rangers are my favorite club.

    Next to Celtic of Cork.

In my defense, there was that big four leaf clover ad at the top of the page when I posted. Totally messed me up subliminally.

Also it ain't like Ireland and Scotland are alien planets, hell that's why Celtic is Celtic in the first place. People have been hopping back and forth between the two for a thousand years.

If someone asked me whether my last name was Irish or Scottish, given what I've been told about it, my only answer would be "yes."

With the humor sucked out of the thread, I'm closing it. Of course, it also doesn't belong in this forum anyway...it's a YA issue.
