There will be no sign of Khatibi in TM anymore, and GN will pack up and go home for good. Good games.

Why he didn't play Kazemian in the second half is beyond comprehension!

Korea played their best game in the tournament but Iran really should have put that away during the game. It was so fecking disappointing. Hope Ghalenoie goes. Khatibi played shit for every game but this. He has an OK game if it wasn't for 15 billion offsides and the penalty miss.

4-2 for Korea in the penalty kicks.

Kia and Khatibis shoots were stopped.

    Tough luck for Iran.

I'd like to point out the good spirit of both teams in this game. Even though there were some rough contacts, no rolling on the ground or bitching to the ref.

    Good luck to South Korea.

todays game confirms the fact that this coach sucks , we lost because of his tactics , Khatibi is just terrible, kia sucks too . Oh well folks , lets wait 4 more years till we lose another Asian Cup .

Condolences guys. I thought the win was yours to take. I'm sure there will be plenty of chances for Iran and Korea to play again in the near future. I'll be looking forward to it :)

Iran disappoints again despite reasonable high expectations. Kare ma az bikh kharabe, moshkela yeki dota nist. I'm starting to get "Football zadegi", I almost don't want to watch anymore. Going to take a break for at least a few months until WCQs start. Take care for now

No he wasn’t , he sucked throughout this AC . I have always said Kia was our best player but I beginning to think the guy is getting too old , he cant score , all he does is put his head down and run really fast with the ball and lets not forget the fact that he missed a PK. Bottom line is that he sucked just like most our players . Today’s game was just pathetic and so was this AC , we have a talented team but no chemistry and we play boring football , I fell sleep a couple of time during today’s game .

That’s a great question because we have been wondering the same thing since the start of this AC , another question is why Kazemian didn’t play ? Kazemian was awesome , I remember the Austrlian commentator saying “ I don’t know what Kazemian has to prove to start in this team” Why did Khatibi and Enyati play ? Why was Hashemian subbed for Enyati ? Why did Zandi come in the second half ? Why use our last substitution for a goalie ? These are all questions that will remain unanswered because our coach or football federation listen to the fans . Unlike South Korea, Japan , and Australia we have a government in Iran that’s not by the people and for the people , our problem is bigger then our football federation , you have to look at its roots and the roots start at the government . They don’t provide us with the right resources unlike you guys .

I dunno rest those guys. All I know is Kaebi speed pressures wing and opens up midle and Teymorian and Nekounam was gangbang our mids. If those 2 got more space it'd be real hard for us.

I always notice Kaebi even tho he's a runtly little f(cker becuse he's the fastest guy on pitch.

Hashemian ran his heart out and he wasn't moving much when he was subbed for Enayati. He should have been subbed but whether for Enayati is a different question.

Zandi doesn't bring pace and Madanchi played very well when he was on. He was tired too, so the natural thing was to bring Zandi on.

Khatibi was the worst Iranian player in the tournament, but despite the penalty miss, didn't play a bad game today. Most will disagree with me on that.

But I agree; why on earth did he not play Kazemian in the second half?? Some say for the same reason he keeps playing Enayati; he likes him and one is Esteghlali and dislikes the other, perhaps because he is Perspolisi!! Kaabi should have played from the start of the tournament, but why he didn't? Not a clue. In this game, not bringing Kaabi wasn't my worry, but for not playing Kazemian; for that reason alone GN deserves to go.

Will he go? Unfortunately I am not hopeful. He has "too many connections" and yeah, the entire federation from top to bottom needs an overhaul. Despite all the shit people say about Daei, he has the cojones and the passion to do it. I hope he does do something.

The only positive point is that after the disaster that was the WC campaign, I don't get my hopes up! So I don't get as disappointed.

Dont you guys get it? Iran CANT win anything right now with this government even if they are able to. We saw it in the WC and we see it now. The coach makes completely illogical and idiotic decisions when a five-year-old Iranian football fan could do a better job.

I remember my dad saying that we must lose because if we win, people will pour out in the street and party and perhaps (while in ecstacy) think that "now that we are all out in the street, why not fk the police and start a revolution". Or perhaps the women will start dancing in the street without hijab or whatever... It might sound farfetched, but think about it. That is what the government has thought about as well.

    ...think about it...

i dont believe in these conspiracy stories but the way ghalenoie coached today... anything is possible. he just CANT be that stupid. but why would they want us to lose in quarter finals? weve made the semis a lot of times. i think they only dont want us to win the whole thing, or go past round of 16 in the WC.

No one knows why our stupid coach did'nt play Kaabi and Kazemain ? The end of yesterdays game was when both teams were counterattacking back and forth was made for their speed!

And i agree with !Bob about Khatibi yesterday. He played a really good game, he just did'nt score. Even his penalty was well shot, the credit goes to the Korean keeper for saving it.

You're not being objective Valanjak. Kia played a very solid game yesterday and he was'nt supposed to score (he almost did at the 90th min) since he was playing right back. Plus yesterdays game was one of the most exciting games so far, a lot of people in the asian cup forum say so. Are you telling me you fell asleep SERVERAL times during this game ? And last thing, missing a penalty does'nt mean a player sucks. Actually a lot of big players have missed their penalty kicks in the shoot outs : Platini against Brazil WC 1986, Baggio WC final 1994, etc, ... .

The only pb in TM is GN, not our players and especially not kia.

Khatibi is a ******** up at best. Why the hell didn't the coach use Kaebi and Kazemian? I also noticed Karimi got his dribbling back, which is good.

I'm not really upset that Iran lost. It was a good game, despite the billion offsides Khatibi alone got.
