They look so much better without Gomez out there.

Pretty evident though, as soon as known entity in Gomez was removed, we became more fluid and unpredictable. Chances created from three positions involving Oezil. Khedira more free to push up and make runs. Kroos fills in nicely when Oezil pushes up. Theoretically it all works and the more we try, the better we will get because these players all have the ability to be great.

Khedira and Özil ARE Germany at the moment. They do the majority of the important work out there.

Man if it wasnt for ozil this would be the worst team on the planet. kroos has been useless, schurrle incompetent and muller out of ideas.

More defensive comedy, luckily the linesman came to the rescue.

Mertesacker was just terrible there. Four major mistakes this match.

Podolski and Gomez, I understand the call ups. Mertesacker doesn't make sense. He is consistently making very big mistakes. That led to goal attempts.

Did u see that first touch by Oezil there ? Wow ! Even Messi would have been proud with that one.

Our striker scoring a goal. Big deal. Sadly this will give him a guaranteed starting spot for years to come. :(

At this point, our core is Hummels-Khedira-Oezil. Without these three, we would be a different side at the moment.

Lol Mertesacker, he kept the player onside, and Hummels tackled before him. Hummels is huge for Germany, he is gonna be a great player.

Germany really tried to throw this one away at the end. When was the last time anyone remembers seeing Germany come from behind to win against a top team?

Overall I though that the match was a lot of fun to watch. One of the better friendlies that Germany has played, since both sides were playing to win the entire time. Much different from that disgraceful match against the Netherlands in November.

Man, what a bad and boring game. Kroos and Schurrle didn't do themselves any favors, and besides his last ditch tackle neither did Merte.

Khedira, Ozil and Mueller are the focal point of this team.

Reus too! It's a great squad, second best in the world, but at the moment there are things to improve.

I thought Hummels had major trouble on two occasions with judging a long ball over the top. Both times he lost sight of the ball's flight, and almost let Benzema in on goal. Other than that, he was decent. We were saved by an unlucky bounce and Benzema's incompetence.
