Racing are curently 9th with 49 points and are only 2 behind 6th palce(and a UEFA Cup spot)Atletico. However since 2000 they've finished 19th in 2000 got relegated for a season and since have finished 16,17,16 and 17th in the previous 4 seasons in la primera. So somewhat of a low-table team although they are looking to change that.

Recreatvio have spent most of the decade in segunda minus a lone appearance in la primera in 02/03. They are having an impressive season and are currently in 7th.

Deportivo is 13th right now but have been very succesful this decade wining la liga in 2000. They then finished in 2nd in both 01 and 02 and followed that up by finishing 3rd in both 03 and 04. Also they were very succesful in the CL making it to the quarterfinals twice and the semis in '04 losing to eventual champions Porto. The last two seasons has seen them drop to 8th.

I haven't seen much of any of these three teams this season with the exception of their games against Atleti so I can't really comment on their current form, but I hope this post gave you an idea as to what these teams are possibly caipable of.

Oh and sorry for such a long post:D

I hope that all the players mentioned with possible transfers actually do go. It kind of seems that every year the same players are mentioned with only one or two moving and many of these players are not getting any younger. Hopefully Bravo, Landin, Andres and Bofo are just a few of the players that leave and go play in Europe.

I think somebody already mentioned that as a possible destination.

    I hope you're right though.

I guess its safe to say that nothing will happen till the summer. All it is now is speculation. Either way, like someone already said, it does seem like every year the same players are mentioned and nothing happens. These players are not getting any younger and need to move to Europe ASAP.

Shut it! This is the year for an exodus! It's not going to be 20 but I'm expecting about five players to emigrate– probably three or four of the ones everyone talks about and one or two "really?" players.

According to Mauricio Cardenas from Telemundo, the transfer of Omar Bravo to Spain is a done deal. I really don't know how plausible are his words. I guess we will have to see that during the transfer window. Anybody know what became of Guardado?

He's still with the Europe option, but they are just waiting for the transfers to start... I am almost sure he'll leave... but you never know, if atlas doesn't win anything, they'll probably want to retain him

One thing I know for sure: next season we will have 1 more player in a big league:

    Giovanni 2 Santos.

    And that's pretty much it.
IMFO, the guy with the greatest cchances to leave, if any, would be venado medina. Not Bravo, not Guardado, not Ochoa, though Bravo has got the tormeister title.

About Omar Bravo was there any reports on him going to Deportivo La Coruna ?. About Guardado the only pausible report of him is Man U is still keeping an eye on him . The main MAN U recruiter has been watching all the Atlas games and seen Guardado's performance.

id like to see andres and carlitos both taken to the epl and loaned out to the same team for six or twelve months.it'd be a benficial adjustment period.

Let's just say the scout wouldn't be too happy. Guardado hasn't played real well, just average in this torneo.

I agree that Medina would be the most likely to leave, due to his very good last 2 torneos. He can start in many mid to top league teams in La Liga or Bundesliga.

Yep... I think poor ol' scout might as well be scouting chivas players, Chelito Delgado, Gracian or somebody else, cuz really Guardado hasn't done much throughout the season. Nomas contra America juega mas o menos bien, y es todo.
GUardado, as I've mentioned before, is a hell of a passer, a sportsman who hardly ever gets carded, and a leftie. That's about it. Yeah, he can be fast, but he's like 20 so anybody's fast at 20. He has defended, but he's not really good at that, and I'm still waiting for that season when Guardado takes over Atlas and leads them to great heights. He ain't Atlas' engine.

This is bull... Atlas let the kid go already;)

    PEDIRÁN QUE SE QUEDE
En caso de que Andrés Guardado sea vendido, la directiva del Atlas pedirá que se quede un torneo más, en busca de planear mejor al equipo.
