Excellent points. Even I was swayed by how they were depicting the US performance. The second goal was nice but the first one was due to a brain fart. When push came to shove Mexico neutralized Bradley and was able to get back into the game. They will be lucky to get more than 3 points in their group.

 

The Layun and Ponce move would be great. I like Ponce a lot. Has some speed to get back to defend, good crosser, and plays with huevos.

 

Because Fabian managed to do what Brizuela and Gullit couldn't.

I agree. the whole first half we were sending in long balls to Fabian. That was terrible. So frustrating seeing him trying to out jump the taller defenders. They looked ridiculous. US pressed right off the bat and our mids were either nervous or not ready to play. I can't believe the lack of dribbling and terrible passing from Gullit, Brizuela, and Zavala.

 

Also. Klinsmann went to a different formation right? I saw on twitter that maybe Klinsmann saw Herrera's lineup and immediately adjust to the formation. I saw a picture on twitter with their formation with our guy's numbers in their positions, not sure if it was from their lockerroom though. As much as I like to see the starters a day ahead, does anyone else hope that he doesn't do this in the world cup? You can't give teams time to adjust like that.

My thoughts exactly. It seemed like Piojo gave Klinsmann unnecessary time and information to prepare for the game.
