Good players fail in certain environments and have success in others. It happens all the time in all sports. I'm not defending Isla as a Juve player, he has flubbed every opportunity to show that he can overcome the difficult start he had, it's been long enough that there are no excuses. Also the flirting with Inter was intolerable. I'm just pointing out that if he does go, he will probably thrive, and then Juve fans will bitch about "why did Marotta get rid of him? why did we lose money on him?"

If I remember correctly, we only own half of him. We still share him with Udinese.

    Llorente given Spain place
    By Football Italia staff

Juventus forward Fernando Llorente has been called up to the Spain squad for friendlies with Equatorial Guinea and South Africa.

The Bianconeri goalscorer was originally omitted from Vicente Del Bosque’s original squad, but has been given a late berth following an injury to Atletico Madrid man Diego Costa.

The Roja go to the mid-African country this week ahead of a game on Saturday, before going to the Johannesburg next Tuesday.

    OsLOLdo and Gilardinosaur... FML.
Why not call Luca Toni rather than those two stiffs?
Why waste two friendlies without calling hardly any new faces?
What POSSIBLE excuse could there be to call Montolivo?
******** you, Prandelli, you piece of shit.

    Chile release injured Vidal
    By Football Italia staff

Arturo Vidal has been released from international duty with Chile due to injury, so returns to the Juventus camp.

The midfielder was in London for the friendly against England, but the medical staff performed tests on his right thigh injury.

They found a thigh strain that will require 14 days of rest, so he has been sent back home to Turin.

Vidal is expected to be with the Juventus medical staff from tomorrow to begin rehabilitation.

    Barzagli misses Italy-Nigeria

Andrea Barzagli will not go to London for Italy’s friendly against Nigeria after limping off with Germany.

The Juventus defender pulled up with a muscular problem during last night’s 1-1 draw at San Siro.

He has been diagnosed with a slight pull of the left adductor, so is sent home ahead of Monday’s test at Craven Cottage.

Medics are confident Barzagli will be fit for next Saturday’s Serie A match against Livorno.

Andrea Barzagli, who left the field towards the end of last night’s Italy v Germany game due to muscular discomfort in his left thigh, has undergone an MRI scan this afternoon in Turin which has revealed a pectineus muscle strain.

The extent of the injury will be assessed over the coming days.

No, but the last three times I've logged on to this forum only to be informed that Ogbonna, Vidal, and Barza have been injured. It's like a telepathic curse.

Plus, I know you love my anti-NT ranting, Falc. :p

I am surprised our gal @scirea6 has not piped in yet. Both Marotta & Conte are miffed that they were not contacted about Chiellini. He just returned to the roster but did not play yesterday. He has been out for several weeks. We have a shitload of games this month. Prandelli better not rely on our guys.

I think Prandelli is an ass for calling any player that's on a team that has a packed schedule this month. He should try some new guys and give a chance to the fringe players.

I read the list of call-ups yesterday, just after the final whistle, and I decided to celebrate our win rather than throw my laptop out the window.

But it's good that the club is finally starting to realize that there's only one beneficiary in this "special relationship" we have with the NT, and that it isn't us.
You'd think this would be common sense, but apparently not.

Prandelli then commented on Giorgio Chiellini’s inclusion, despite the defender only just recovering from injury.

“During all these years we’ve always had a good relationship with Juventus. That hasn’t changed.

“Even if a player is on the bench, I have the right to call him up.

“Yesterday, the Juve doctor sent us a message saying that all the players were okay, and that Giorgio had trained normally.”
