    Hi

I am interested in starting a new NPSL Franchise. By looking at the NPSL in wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Premier_Soccer_League it seems that NPSL have got a strong structure.

Started in 2003 and is now a 5th tier in the American soccer league pyramid NPSL have got a bright future.

As i am not too familiar with the American soccer scene i need members of this forum to guide me and suggest whats best for this new franchise's. in terms of location and etc.

    Regards
    JC

I think a great place to start would be talking to contact Christopher Keem
at the NPSL. He's in charge of New Team Membership and he's been involved with starting a team from scratch.

As for where to put a team, I would consider regions that already have teams and in an area where there is already a pretty good soccer base to draw players from. I'm some what biased, but I think Northern IL near Chicago would be a good location. The Fire already have a team, but there are a ton of pretty good college and post college players in the area. Also, most of the teams in the region are within a reasonable driving distance.

    Hello

Thank you for your reply, Yes chicago is a good area to start with, and also im looking into the State of Nevada.

NPSL used to have a team from Vegas called Las Vegas Strikers but the team dissolved in year 2008.

My associates have emailed Keem regarding on new franchise and we are awaiting for his reply.

    Thanks you :)

Just read an article on yahoo stated that Chicago is no1 state to make a living or profits in terms of business

Based on that analysis, where are the best and worst places to make a living?

The best, according to MoneyRates, is ...

    1. Illinois: The adjusted average income is $41,987, thanks to reasonably high average wages, relatively low state income taxes and a reasonable cost of living.
    2. Washington (state): The cost of living is higher than average, but so is the average wage and the state imposes no income tax. Adjusted average income: $41,456.
    3. Texas: Also benefits from no state income tax. Adjusted average income: $41,427
    4. Virginia: $41,120
    5. Delaware: $39,105
    6. Massachusetts: $38,665
    7. Georgia: $38,228
    8. Tennessee: $38,038
    9. Colorado: $38,020
    10. Minnesota: $37,721

Where are the worst states to make a living?

    1. Hawaii: $22,108
    2. Maine: $29,159
    3. Montana: $29,496
    4. California: $29,772
    5. Vermont: $29,986
    6. Oregon: $30,343
    7. Rhode Island: $30,612
    8. Mississippi: $30,953
    9. West Virginia: 31,357

...who were narrowly beaten 13-0 by a very lucky FC Hasental team in their first outing.

Since then, they have lost 4-3, drawn 0-0, and lost 5-0, 3-0 and 3-0. They're playing Hasental again today.
