Very little flow to the first 20 minutes. Lots of standing around off the ball, waiting for someone to do something.

Palacio scores for Genoa, 40th minute. Inter 0-1 Genoa.

Our players look like they'd rather have stayed in bed. I don't understand the lack of passion.

Pandev on for Stankovic at half. Stankovic looked to be unable to continue.

    2 goals in 1 minute!!!!

Beautiful link up from Eto'o to Maicon to Pazzini for the first. Eto'o capitalizes on mistake by Eduardo for the second!

Whatever Leonardo said to these guys at halftime, it must have been Mou-esque.

Eto with an indescribable goal to make it 3-1! This is night and day from the first half.

After the Genoa goal? The last five minutes of the 1st half didn't look hopeful. Leonardo made the right move to bring in the third forward at halftime. That's going to have to be the way forward for the rest of the year if we're going to catch Milan. The attack was listless in the first half with just Eto'o and Pazzini, and Genoa is strong enough on defense to handle two attackers. Bringing on Pandev opened things up for Eto'o and Pazzini, and allowed some room for Maicon to get involved. It was like a light was turned on at halftime.

Absolutely. Leo earned his pay today. If the strategy and attitude of the first half had carried into the second, the scudetto race may have been over. Many positive signs from this match.

How do you say "We're not done yet!" in Italian? :D

What I learned from today's match: We won a treble last year playing with a trident; let's keep doing that.

The form Milan are in pretty much means it's gonna be on us to cut down the deficit to 2 points (by us beating them, hopefully) and then really hoping Milan slip once or twice more.

    Tall order indeed.

I am upset that we let in a goal at the end, when we had the game pretty much wrapped up: this is probably my only complaint to Leonardo and it is something that should def. be worked on because it has happened too many times.

    Done ranting. :D

The defense got lazy on that second goal, or maybe they were just dis interested due to the 5 -1 lead. But , I agree, the match should've ended 5 to 1 ,not 5 to 2.
