    Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is adamant Robin van Persie will stay at the club - and will snub Juventus to do so.

    The Dutch forward's future is up in the air somewhat, with his current contract at Emirates Stadium set to expire next summer and negotiations over an extension progressing at a slow rate.

    Serie A champions Juventus have been strongly linked with a move for the 28-year-old, but Wenger is adamant Van Persie will not be making the switch to Turin.

    "He will stay at Arsenal," Wenger told Italian newspaper La Repubblica. "There is no reason why a top player, a big champion would want a move to Serie A - in terms of the prestige of the league, the level of play or financial considerations."

    Emphasising his confidence, Wenger added: "If he moves there, I will buy you a caramello [Italian ice cream]."

    Juventus are not the only side to have been linked with Van Persie, however, with Premier League champions Manchester City having also made overtures towards the former Feyenoord player.

    Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest.

    Arsenal are looking to make their own transfer moves this summer - and are believed to be close to the signing of Montpellier and France forward Olivier Giroud as they look to strengthen their options in attack.

    :D:eek::eek:

    “Juventus’ titles are 31,” he stated with a touch of irony. “They won the championship in Serie B didn’t they…"

    For good reason. I'm sure you'd lose it too if the most promising Italian player on your roster who was just purchased was being sold with no prospect of a replacement with the same value in sight.

    No, Borini.

    We can't give away Borriello, as much as we'd love to.

    Didn't you hear? Bradley isn't in Roma because Greco refuses to go to Chievo. Sounds like it's falling a part to me.
