Is there a published schedule for the Open Cup and CCL matches? I don't want to exchange for something I won't be able to make.

BTW, I love the opening line of the email I and presumably other STH's got: "We have received valuable feedback from our fans...." As we know, the feedback was profane, scatological, and insulting, so the team's response is a masterpiece. Get that intern a promotion, stat!

Yep. Otherwise, I'd have a parking pass to a game without a ticket and vice versa.

Yeah any other wording and they might have to admit that they were wrong.

The people who made the original decision to switch to FedEx are definitely from out of town. They assume that everybody here loves Snyder and the whole FedEx experience. None of them were here in years past to remember all the complaints back then.

So, to them, it really and truly was "valuable feedback". They never knew it before and assumed from their corporate offices in NY or Milan that this would be wonderful for dedicated DC United fans.

Hopefully, the same unpaid interns will be around next year, too.

It's called the Front Office Academy.

They use home grown interns & eventually promote them so the don't have to go on the labor market to get FO staff.

This is what it comes down to. Everyone you're talking to about this had nothing in making this decisions. They just get to deal with it.

So at what level was this decision made? Mr. Hunt? Mr. Levin?

the ticketing reps job is to be the face of the sales department.
I don't see the STH's calling Levien or anyone in NYC and getting to talk about this issue.
Who do you call? The reps.
It is their job to tell their manager what the issue is, who then tells his administrator who tells levien or whomever.

I finally got a call back from DCU (called Monday). I traded my tickets for the 2 CONCACAF matches. To make the exchange you have to physically return the Crew and special game tickets and the CONCACAF tickets will be mailed out once the fixtures are set. I will return mine this Sat. to customer service at RFK. I was also told I could mail them in. But either way they need to get the original tickets back.

The gentleman handling this is Devin Perry. He seemed like a nice fellow on the phone. I wonder what he did to get this assignment. He patiently listened (I assume he was listening) as I explained why I thought this doubleheader was a really bad idea. I hope my complaints defy gravity and make it up the ladder, and those responsible do more than chuckle on their way to the bank.

We also talked about the timing of the CONCACAF matches and I expressed my further disappointment that in rescheduling the Gals match to give them a bye week for their CONCACAF matches, we had added an extra match for us when play our CONCACAF matches. He seemed genuinely surprised by this, not that it's his responsibility to reschedule these matches.

We have become the ugly step sister of the league. Breaks my heart.

I don't understand why it appears Perry is taking a step backwards with his career, but it's obvious he has worked for some professional organizations including interning with the Bowie Baysox and Huntington Heroes and then as a Sales Rep for the Phoenix Coyotes... and the Nats.

I almost forgot ...... I believe today is the deadline for letting DC United know that you want to exchange your tickets. The email is: dcucustomerservice@dcunited.com

Consider this a Public Service Announcement :D

23,000 tickets being report as sold. Again how many of those 23,000 stay for United vs CBus? Any guesses???

Neither will I be there. I also made the same trade.

I have zero interest in ESP vs ELS and don't feel like putting up with FED and the crappy corner of the upper deck seats I was given.

Add to that I was insulted by the prevailing theory that THEY were doing ME a favor by letting ME go to the matches.

This is so MLS 1.0. Nobody in MLS does doubleheaders any more ... I wonder who's idea this was. They deserve a punch to the nuts.
