You really think someone would tell their new teammates that their former ones were better? Yeah, because that would make him widely accepted. Sounds like he needs to put this whole trade to Vancouver behind him. The more he's quoted saying these things, the more he loses his "class act" credibility.

he should have just not commented on his previous team. its one thing to go against the owners, but I think the PPL's Elbow(Oh Captain, Our Captain) may have to come out when he comes to town.

I am not sure Le Toux wants to talk about it anymore, but apparently everyone else can't get enough of the drama.

if he doesn't want to talk about it, then he should keep his trap shut and state his case on the field

Montreal clearly isn't anything to write home about yet. I'll start to feel bad for the trade once he's scoring against the LA's and RSL's of the league

Watching the LA game right now. I forgot how every time you hear a stadium-wide chant or cheer there that it really sounds as if 60% of the HDC crowd are 12 year old girls.

Chivas has got to move. I am watching their game vs Houston and they have covered the end line seats tarps and the sideline seats are almost empty in a 20,000 seat stadium. They either need to move to another part of LA that will consider them their team or another city that has people who will want to support them.

LA with two teams isn't cutting it and MLS wants to add another NY team? I know they want the new team in the city but I see a similar issue there as in LA. I'd like to see Orlando get #20 and Chivas move somewhere else.

Although the covering is a nice new addition. Imagine if Chivas USA won the MLS Cup this season. Then all of the bandwaggon LA fans would move to supporting Chivas. Also, I was a bit surprised by the Union Ultra display. I definitely don't remember seeing them with that large of a group during last year's Union matchup.

Cry baby or not, I don't think this was a fair situation. LA now gets a rested TFC at home after playing in two cross continent flights, playing in TO and then at home in the space of a week. I know this is the sort of thing that can happen to Manchester United in the Champions League, but this will happen to them after players are in game shape and it has a much larger squad. I think LA could win the CL and I think they earned better treatment by winning the league last season. TFC has little chance to win, if I was at the league office, I would have sacrificed Toronto instead.

So the rich get richer and the poor get poorer?

LAG made moves in the offseason stacking them for a CCL run. The depth that team has is insane. Why should they get preferential treatment over another team?

LAG is in a good position to get past TFC. They're coming home with a 2-2 aggregate scoreline. I'll be cheering them on if they get as far as RSL did previously. Let the league bend over backwards for the Galaxy when they get closer to the promised land, like how the Union-RSL game was rescheduled to give them some needed rest.

I don't wish the Galaxy well, but I agree with Arena here.

Three teams were off this weekend and two of them were CCL participants. I appreciate how hard it is to put together a regular season schedule, but considering how much the league bent over backwards to help RSL last year (as we all clearly remember), would it have been that hard to block off all three CCL teams week 1 and have Chicago play this weekend instead?

Well, the league has been moving towards facilitating CCL success for a few years. They get extra allocation money and the league has eased up on their schedule for the past two years. If you're going to give two teams off, then why not the third. Since the league is at an odd number of teams, I understand that it might not be possible, but it makes more sense to me to favor your highest profile team in this instance. If LA wins the CCL, that's very big for the league and their participation in the club world cup will garner far more attention than any other MLS side. Internationally, I think it would garner more attention than ANY other CONCACAF team. I think it would garner more attention than RSL winning the CCL ten times in a row.

I don't want MLS to step away from a structure that keeps the rich rich and the poor poor. I just think that the league needs to take advantage of an opportunity like this and give them the same consideration as Seattle and TFC. We helped out RSL last year as well. I have no love for LA, but let's be reasonable here. A couple of years from now it could be KC or Columbus in that position. That would be great, but it just won't make the same splash.

Plus when you make the schedule you have no idea what sort of position LA will be in for the second leg. It looks good, but they basically sacrificed a league game. I would have loved to see the U go to RSL and savage a weakened team last year but we did the honorable thing.

OTOH, perhaps there is an X-games or Justin Bieber concert at HDC that conflicts later in the year. This is AEG we are talking about.

Perhaps, but the CCL schedule and the home openers were set far enough in advance to work something out.

I understand your point, Dills and everyone else but even Arena pointed out he was an idiot for playing the same line up for two games straight and even Lord Beckham said it wasn't Arena's fault it was the players fault for playing crappy.

TFC down LA 2-1!! More complaints about scheduling to come? I saw Seattle got blasted 6-1. Two of the top MLS teams are out. Would have liked to see what the sounders could have done but not a big fan of the Galaxy and kinda glad they lost.

On a side note it sucks watching Spanish tv when I can only understand the names.
