Thought about it, and maybe it'll be nice to have an update on injuries on players of the NT, that way we don't necessarily have to dig through search bar in the individual thread.

    I'll start

    10/18/2013
Camilo Zuñiga-right knee injury 6-8 weeks out.

Good idea. This will be an easy to track down our main guys on route to the world cup. Hopefully Zuniga's injury is not severe and is the only one we suffer prior to the WC.

Well Quintero is out for a month due to a hamstring injury. He may come back in time for the friendlies like how Cuadrado did for the last rounds of the world cup qualifiers.

Yup and it was training injury. He likely pushed himself pass his limits.

Bad time for his injury. Dude needs to assert himself both in Porto and Colombia and he won't be able to do that if he is hurt.

Who can come in to fill in his role? Maybe Sebastian Perez from the 'back' so that Guarin can move 'up'?

I love Perez kid looks like a younger better Abel. He would be be great next to Sanchez or Valencia.

Come WC as long as Ospina, Zuniga, Armero, James and Falcao are ok we have a shot at winning it all. Our team honestly does not function right without one of these guys. We don't play nearly as well and they can't be replaced. Would be interesting to see us play different formations without them. I mean no Falcao why not try a 4-2-3-1 ? No James then a 4-3-3 or a 4-3-1-2 and have Quintero start at #10

He's had more than 50 appearances with Nacional for a 20 year old, so I wouldn't be concern with the playing time he gets by his age and experience. He can still be part of the training team.

Yeah I will also take Cuellar over Sebastian Perez but I like them both. I like Perez' work rate and effort. Just don't know if there is enough talent there.

Do you just make things up in your mind? Yepes has appeared in 8/8 of the games he's been available for Atalanta

Ospina may be out three weeks so it looks like a certainty that Vargas or Mondragon will start the next two matches.

    2nd choice keeper at Millos.

No Colombian goalie really stand out. It's you go with experience with Mondragon or feed Vargas to the wolves. I prefer Vargas but I know many disagree. Take the players history away and Vargas has been much better the past 3 seasons

Mondragon is still very good. These type of things can happen (and have happened in the past to us). So what better time than now during a friendly to see if he still has what it takes.
