Tru dat. I hope somebody got a boot up Finley's backside, just because he deserves it. Two IU players got hit in the nads, and Bushue actually was called for a foul as he was being dinged. Can't imagine how Finley would even be considered a Hermann candidate.

actually, i think bushue knocked him on his ass after our first goal. he rolled around on the ground like he got shot. i didn't see what actually happened, only the flopping around on the ground afterwards.

Nope, there was no foul assessed on that play, just the flop. Bushue was running back to get in position and he apparently thought that they were playing basketball and went for the offensive foul (while the clock was stopped). What a d**k. There was another play where an ND player rolled over and reached out w/ his boot and kicked Bushue. That's when he go the foul called on him (and no, he didn't knock the ND player over).

For no specific reason I thought Clark was a class act, and by extension, he would not tolerate players who were out and out d**ks.... do I have to relegate that notion to the same box as the tooth fairy and the rational consumer?

re. Oliver - sometimes players have all kinds of baggage that is not apparent even to pretty keen observers. Maybe the bench will help his butt do some of the thinking that his head has not been able to accomplish.....

You only tolerate tools if they score 20+ goals and for only two years.

His work rate was poor to say the least. The center was having none of this flops. He's a key to why we went forward and they didn't. I hope he finds some consolation in reading his press clippings.

I said this in the QF game thread, but congrats to you guys for going back to the FF. Hard to believe it's been eight years. Man, where does that time go? Just feels right when Indiana is at the college soccer final four!

Thank you. It's been a long dry spell.

The Big Red Tailgate machine is swinging into action. We will likely set up in the RV lot (harder to get kicked out if you're renting). My guess is a 2:30pm CST start (our game's the second).
Was anyone there last year? Where did people tailgate? Guess I could ask the UNC folks...

Anybody know how the tickets work? This will be my first trip to this event.... Does one ticket get you into both games Friday?

IIRC, you can purchase a ticket for both games or a single event ticket.

Here we go boys! Expecting a tailgate of 600 or so. I'm betting that about 1,000 members of Hoosier Army show up for the final.

They still owe us a goal. Maybe we can start 1-0?

Congrats to all four teams on a very good Cup and may the best team clad in cream and crimson win! :D

It's a great day to wake up in Alabama... ready for the Cup! Should be a decent atmosphere. Hulls and a few other IU BBall players are making the trip. Go Hoosiers!
