I was thinking that the lineup below would be pretty balanced defending and attacking :
    Valladares
    sabillon, chavez, figueroa, izaguirre
    Hendry,
    Palacios

    Leon

    Alvarez
    Suazo, Pavon [captain]

We need guys with good first touches if we want to play the possession game Rueda believes in.

I think we need to start expanding that RB role to other players. Oscar Boniek needs to be given a shot. not some substitute shot smh. because again Sabillon did not impress me.

Too bad there are no more friendly games to give anyone a shot. Once the team gets called in May it will be a final team for World Cup. With luck they will play a game or two a week before the World Cup to get rhythm. But without friendly games between now and May...there is no more chances for experimentation. Rueda will have to make his decisions based on what he has seen today versus Turkey and the previous game against USA.

    The federation blew it.

I don't understand - Mexico is playing 12 friendlies but Honduras only played 2? Why?

this sucky federation we have & the people who run it.
if we had smart people running the federation
maybe our league would be better.
we would have better friendlies b4 a WC or when there's a fifa date.
    better sponsors, better jerseys
    the list goes on...
it would be a miracle if we can get a game or 2 during april-june
but myself personally i only c 1 game happening ..wit a not-so worthy team.
we had a game against new zeland in april, but it got cancelled smh

Look at the people organizing...Ferrari at least runs Olimpia so he understand the game, but what the f*ck does Callejas know about the game?! He just has that position to stay relevant and in the newspapers.
I guess I am venting and it may not be true...but we are treating the build up to the tournament as if it were not important. If the Federation doesn't have the money to play top teams, then AT LEAST they could schedule some local (CONCACAF and CONMEBOL) teams. What is important is building chemistry and experimenting.

we need new ppl in this federation.
    i'ma run 4 a position haha
how long has callejas been in that position?
that ass probably dnt know ish about the history of honduran futbol!
its definately time 4 a change because the world cup is gonna be here & then done.
the qualifiers for 2014 are gonna be here like that!
& if we qualify, we can't have wat were having right now.

I think rueda needs to quit trying to play a possession game. We don't have the players to play that type of game. We gotta go back to our roots of attacking down the flanks with speed and one on one play. We have shown no flashes of offense in the last couple of games, that needs to change.

I think we will open up against Chile with this lineup.

    Valladares
Mendoza (up for grabs) Figueroa Izaguirre
    Amado Palacios
    Alvarez Leon
    Suazo
    Costly

The entire game rests on Palacios shoulders. He needs to stay on our side of the field at all times and brake up play, as soon as he gets the ball he needs to give it to guevara and get in position to cover for either mendoza or izaguirre who will be going forward and joining the attack. We will have tons of speed going forward, we just need to rely on Amado to distribute the ball correctly.

Amado, Alvarez, and Leon and Suazo have played together for years. They are the best we have, and the players I trust in the big stage.
Pavon slows our game down too much, he and turcios can be our super subs.

Maynor is fullback not a central. He doesnt play in the best league and play fullback for no good reason.

it would only be right if his right full back.....I mean on come his in the EPL. Wouldn't you think that they know how to place players over there in England.

like what jcvf said, He's going to play Centreback. We're not going to take out Izaguirre. he, in my mind, is a superb Left wingback. knows how to attack and defend. Maynor doesn't play the right side so its kinda like dumb to put him on that Right Wingback side.

also when Maynor played a RWB against the USA in Chicago, he looked poor. wasn't effective what so ever, so he's better of staying in the centre along with Osman.

Maynor is our best cb, and will have to play there for us.
Emilio needs to learn how to cross, he would be in Europe if
    he had good crosses.

In every game he always has poor crosses. In the Mexico game, he almost scored twice with his crosses because they were so off target:D.

We have good young players, but often times, they fail to evolve and never have a complete game. Emilio has a great work rate, good speed, good dribbling and decent first touch. He just needs to get his passing up to par.

He had this one play last night, he went past three Platense players (including Osman) and he had to just tap it behind for Amado but no. He tries a cross to Welcom who is totally covered, and the ball does not even come close to him.
It can be pretty frustrating at times.
