    Canada wins.... BOOOOOOOO! First gold since 2008 right before the US streak started.

    I still fail to grasp why the iihf continues to schedule all of their tournaments at times that mean the best players from their groups are unavailable. It'd be like UEFA hosting the Euros in April.

    These are U-18s, so this problem is absent in this particular case.

    WC starting tomorrow and it looks up for grabs. Hopefully Russia gets solid goaltending as expected, they'd be decent bets for a top three in that case.

    Ovie's won his third Richard btw, and Yakupov finishes the season as rookie points leader.

    I don't think they'll medal despite the impressive results early on. They'll end up getting bounced in the KO round when they meet a big team again.
