Well for the record I believe the quotes in the article. Of course we don't know what teams they are from but it sounds like at least one team is definitely interested, and there's a sense among the managers that many others would be.
I agree with you. I think we're always going to have some hesitance when people tell us we have a World Class player that is in high demand until it actually happens for the first time. I only wish other big teams in Europe would take notice. For selfish reasons, I'd love to see him get a fair shot in the Prem.
I can see tomorrow's newspaper: "A credible source close to the Bradley family says 'There's no interest in Michael'".
He has plenty of years left for England or even Spain, right now he should stay in Italy since its been so good for him and his stock is higher there than anywhere else.
Would certain, ah, less than reputable sites care more about checking the validity of an online post or getting page views w/ "Bradley family source says 'Bradley is Crap!' I think we both know the answer...
A couple Italian sources are saying that Bradley and Palermo have agreed to a deal and all that remains to be resolved is the final transfer price from Chievo.
The nice thing about Palermo is that he would probably step right into another starting position. With some of the larger clubs who have indicated interest, it might not be quite that simple.
I don't mind the Bradley to Palermo links. I think considering the future infrastructure projects Palermo along with Roma, Lazio, Inter, Napoli, Catania are all making the best efforts to modernize. So provided they stay the course it might be a good spot for Bradley to be and grow with the club. I just hope Zamparini can keep the crazy down and they actually try to hold onto players. He's as much the problem as anything.
I just realized that Palermo was who Chievo was playing at the end of the season when Bradley sat out his only game since becoming a starter. Wonder if their interest had anything to do with it.
Hate to ruin the story, but they were just giving other players playing time since their spot was solidified in the league, and they had nothing to play for.
He played the final game though...it's kind of odd, but could be nothing. The only league game he didn't make an appearance in since his move there.
How long will the contract be? I say it will be for 3 years. Let him build up more of an impression for the first two years with Palermo and they sell him that summer (2014) after the World Cup for $$$ to a big club. He will be 27 entering his prime.....
I agree. Two years at a club like Palermo who is rebuilding and has the funds to do so, leading right into the WC where if healthy, legit CL teams might come calling with huge offers. I still believe MB has another level he can reach, and the summer of 14 is right about when he should be reaching that level, if not slightly earlier but the WC should make potential bidders even more confident at that point. I stand by my prediction, barring injury MB and FJ in 2-3 years will be regulars for CL clubs.
The good thing about Zamparini is he won't fire players. The bad thing though is if Bradley goes there, he can expect a lot of different coaches in a short period of of time.
