The other thread was passed the due date and I couldn't pass up some good new thread material so here it is. I'm beginning to wonder if he will ever make public what the sadness was all about.

ESPN reporting that Cristiano Ronaldo wants £400k a week salary to extend his contract with Real Madrid.

Marca is reporting that Ronaldo feels that some teams/defenders have figured him out and it's taking the element of surprise out of his game. He's taking training to "hone his technique".

Open to most advice right Ruud? He didn't exactly take kindly to your "advice" to pass you the ball during games to hear others tell it :D

Mourinho made Cristiano Ronaldo a better player in the big games.

He certainly has become a very good big game player. Scoring in CL knock out ties, Clasicos, and in international tournaments for Portugal.

    Great stuff

He always had the confidence. It was a team thing and not individual.

Mou dropped a nice hint on the cause of sadness. Hope that ends the conversation... until the Balon d'Or of course.

I liked the repeat of the celebration. It's things like that that Barcelona hate the most, premeditated stuff to show off. Which is weird considering that they program the exact time (Is it 17:14 minutes, or 17:41 on the clock when we cheer? Might as well do it every 17:41 minutes all day to be safe), for something important.

The hint? He said something like "I don't know why he was sad, but he had a tremendous season while Iniesta's strong Euro was only 3 weeks."

Hmmmm... thats not really the impression i got when i watched the interview on CNN.

Some of the other stuff was pretty funny. On a side note, this can't be Jose's office, can it? It looks like it but he's got a portrait of himself in there. Lol. Maybe its a conference room for him and the other coaches.

To be honest, even if Ronaldo was upset over it, I don't think there is anything wrong with that. He wants to be the best. Ofcourse voicing it out like the way he did certainly warrants some criticism.

However here he is again working hard and proving himself. What else must he do? Just win more trophies.

I wish he would just ignore these balon and uefa individual trophies cause most of the time they are a sham. Balon d'or is is the biggest one right now though. It's just a popularity contest and Lets face it, Ronaldo will never be liked for his personality anyway. He is the devil incarante everything evil about football anyway.

Ronaldo himself said it wasn't about losing the prize right after he told the world he was sad. Also doesn't add up to his insinuation that the cause of his sadness was due to somebody in the club. Mourinho's trying to put the lid on something that was already becoming a thing of the past to be honest.

I still see him getting either a new contract around the beginning of next season (or earlier) or the PSG rumors will turn out to have some merit.

Yup, just like Mourinho saying 'at Real Madrid we don't talk about refs' ... 'he was good but he made a big mistake.'

    LOL
