Damn man I wish you a speedy recovery. I will miss your posts on here for sure but look forward to seeing what you have to say when you come back stronger.

I'm glad you realized how much something was controlling your life and how you were able to stop it before it got out of hand. I bet you at least half of us footy fans out here have the same problem myself included but deny it. Starting to change that very very slowly now as I grow up.

    All the best bro!
    Cheers!

I hope you will come back as soon as possible.

You were one of my first friends on Bigsoccer, and while I may be annoying to you and others, you're still part of the Bigsoccer - Real Madrid forum. Any of you are cool in my book, even if I don't ever make you feel like it :D.

    Get well soon Achilles !

I have been checking those forums on / off for about 2.5 years. I never really thought about registering and having my say for, uh... no apparent reason and nor did I pay any attention to the posters but more to the messages expressed by them. That said, I couldn't miss your name and some great posts you made. Get well soon.

So if mymy calls me "Major Buzzkill" does this make Maca "Bubblebuster"?:D

I think it's a perfect nickname for him. We can always call him "Bubbles" for short.

    Achillean,

I am just seeing this thread. By all means, get your head on straight. But can you really go cold turkey on this? Take care.

Hey what’s up guys, it’s been a while since I logged in here and I’m going to be completely honest here I was taken aback by the replies of support from all of you, even though it’s a forum with people from all over the world with different cultures and views I can say that I am glad there’s a group of people that I can go to outside the real world if I may say so.

Well it’s been almost a month since my last post and I wanted to update you guys on the status of my accident. My concussion was pretty severe, I had headaches for random hours and the pain was literally mind numbing, so far with the last MRI I had thankfully it was nothing serious, doctors said it was just issues with the hit I received and thankfully I’ve had no recurring symptom’s or pain. My bruised rib was also an issue, it was a pain in the ass to try and move because it hurt like crazy, I normally hate taking any medicine and the prescription painkiller I had was crazy, I’ve never been high on my life and I sure as hell felt like I was on something with that medicine. It was crazy and thank god I’m done with them. But the most annoying was the 4 inch gash I have on my thigh. Initially I had stitches and bandages, the stitches were removed last week but it’s also a pain in the ass to wear jeans and take a shower. I’m pretty much hanging out with shorts with my leg resting on top of something.

As far as the accident goes I’ve decided to sue. The medical and insurance bills are a travesty, I was able to get my car replaced because it was totally damaged from the back and the cost for repairs outweights the cost of the car. The good thing was that the insurance company will not increase my premiums or my monthly payment. My fiancé is taking care of the process to sue, the lawyers informed her that because it was a case of DUI (driving under influence) hit and run, and because we have proof through CCTV cameras the case is pretty much in the bag and I would be able to cover all my medical bills and additional money for time away from work.

I have to say that I have been struggling to keep my promise to stay away from all things Madrid for a long time; I followed the match against Valencia while my Fiancé was away but now she is making sure to not let me see anything football related at least until the World Cup. I haven’t been able to go out of my house but it doesn’t really bother me, I am sort of a housecat. We have been renting movies and having BBQ’s and inviting our friends over almost all the time, I still have one more week of this until I return to work and school. This is dreadful considering I missed all this time and will have to catch up again. The little “vacation” I had is almost over.

I will pop in once in a while and update you guys as I now think is selfish of me to just leave even though I have been coming to this forum almost every day and discussing with all you guys. And to answer you Lockjaw, it’s pretty tough to go Cold Turkey on this, but it’s made some changes in my life that I hope will flourish.

Until next time guys, take care and again thanks for all the support, I won’t forget this.

It's a shame you weren't around when Inter knocked out Barca. I would have liked to read your post, Achilles. :D

Good to know you are recovering.

Achilles!! My brother from another mother. I'm so glad to hear that you have recovered from all your injuries. I know recovery can be a bitch. Just hang in there. Sounds like you have already gone through the worst part.

You are sorely missed buddy. Drop in more often.

Here's a man hug for you.

So glad to see you posted back. I know what you mean about coming back here to see and interact with your internet social life if you want to call it that. I feel the same way. Sometimes life sucks. Relationships with friends is the best way to cheer someone up who feels down.

    On that note

Yes Shay Z you get one too for posting the picture first :p
