Hopefully Man U won't be willing to wait until after the WC to appoint their new manager. That would rule Van Gaal out
http://www.haringeyindependent.co.u...urns_down_opportunity_to_manage_Spurs/?ref=mr Looks like Van Gaal has turned us down.
Van Gaal is very close to Van Persie, so would not be shocked if it happens. It doesn't seem like Klopp wants to go and Mourinho joined Chelsea. Although it would have been good to get Van Gaal, I see as many plusses/minuses as with Pochettino or Ancelotti (should Real sack him as rumoured). As long as we don't end up with Sherwood or Moyes, it will be fine
Pochettino would be a reasonable shot but Southampton are only two places bellow us and Southampton have quite a rich owner. FDB I would think might go to Barcelona so that doesn't leave that many good options left
Moyes is a classic Not In My Backyard coach. Seems classy, likeable guy, accomplished alot at Everton, no way anyone wants him in North London.
pretty much. if I were a team aspiring to be an annually competitive mid-table squad he'd be a good choice.
Whoever took over at Man U was going to fail, but Moyes seemed like a strange choice. As my son said yesterday, he took the EPL champion and turned them into Everton.
Maybe Wegner's true talent is some strange mysticism that befuddles the minds of those chasing Arsenal for 4th. Everton seem to have collapsed almost as impressively as Spurs
Sunderland looking like they may be the ones who save themselves from relegation. what a great last few weeks its been for them.
For tying away at City then beating Chelsea away, in the space of a week, they deserve to stay up. Wickham back in their team and scoring goals, he's a promising player.
The table doesn't lie, and Liverpool deserve to be where they are. BUT, if Man City do sneak past them on the thinnest of margins, this bizarro season will end with some sense of order. Because I just don't think Liverpool are the best team in the league. Todays result leaves them 2-0-4 against the other top 4 sides. Their squad and first XI is weaker than both City and Chelsea, particularly in central midfield where Toure and Matic are huge for their sides (even literally). What they have done well is implement a high tempo attacking style that takes full advantage of their lighter schedule. However, if they're going to challenge again next year, they're going to have to invest significantly and wisely.
Yeah no European games has benefited them hugely, also teams underestimating their counterattack, expecting them to do the same slow possession of last season. We'll see how it pans out for them next year. They may still clinch it this season, although City have no Europe to think about now and Everton's form has dropped, they're City's toughest game to play
I know everyone's eating a banana in solidarity with Dani Alves but the balls it takes for this guy to do it is amazing. With my mate @Phil_Coutinho #SayNoToRacism #WeAreAllMonkeys pic.twitter.com/mY3W4GogqZ— Luis Suárez (@LuisSuarez9) April 28, 2014
Suzrez has either been faultless or been much better at covering his despicable behavior this season. I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he’s learned from his mistakes and deficiencies as a human being.
