Those Loserpool figures don't take into account the wages they were trying to get off their books.

as an American - I have been listening in awe all day to the sky sports coverage on Sirius/xm.

I admit that when they read the victims names, with YNWA playing in the background, i broke down.

There is a saying I like attributed to Margaret Meade -

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed,
it is the only thing that ever has.

I believe the above applies to all the families and friends of the 96 who kept this fight going for 23 years, until the Real truth came out.

LFC fan here, only jumping in on this because I enjoy the opportunity to bring up FFP, however I'd like to correct the figures with the wage bill (all figures are approximate based off of several sources, but none are THAT far off). Also corrected Aquilani's transfer fee.

    Fabio Borini £30,000/wk
    Joe Allen £45,000/week
    Oussama Assaidi £25,000/wk
    Nuri Sahin (loan) £100,000 wk

    TOTAL: £200,000/wk

    Out

    Dirk Kuyt £85,000/wk
David Amoo, Kirk Broadfoot, Joe Rafferty, Stephen Darby, Toni Brito Silva: Approx £20,000/wk
    Fabio Aurelio £40,000/wk
    Maxi Rodríguez £90,000/wk
Alberto Aquilani £75,000 wk (His entire 4 million pound fee given to him as salary difference, which is why I'm counting his move as a free and temporarily adjusted the transfer loss to 24,300,000).
    Craig Bellamy £90,000/wk
    Charlie Adam £65,000/wk
    Carroll (Loan) £80,000/wk

    TOTAL: £545,000/wk

    Net Total: £345,000/wk (gain) = £17,940,000

    Actual Loss = £6,360,000

A figure which we will EASILY make up and bring in a hefty profit with Liverpool revenues, and will allow plenty of additional spending whilst complying to FFP.

I'm no expert on the wages of other clubs, however if you take the wages into account for Spurs and Arsenal (who both made a transfer profit), they've both more than likely increased their wage bill considering the quality of players they've acquired, but would have still made a total profit.. City will have increased their wage bill which increases their heavy loss even further, Yanited will have increased theirs as well which also increases their loss, however their revenues will easily make it up just like Liverpool's (except the revenues for Yanited are obviously much greater). Chelsea actually lowered their wage bill, however they retain a massive transfer loss and lack the income generators of Liverpool and Yanited and therefore will net a total loss (as per usual).

So as expected, Liverpool, Arsenal, Yanited, and Spurs will all be in compliance with FFP without any difficulty, whilst City and Chelsea continue to dig a deeper hole.

That being said, in compliance to your original point, Man U's spending power is absolutely insane, and that's what the 3 business-like, pro-FFP clubs (Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs) are really up against...and I think I'm making it clear in my post that we should all at least try to ignore or at least remain sceptical about what Chelsea and City are doing in the transfer market.

I know everyone was (and many still are) sceptical about FFP, however UEFA is already coming down hard on a bunch of clubs and making it clear that they mean business with the regulations, so there is perhaps light at the end of the tunnel.

everton sure got screwed in their match v newcastle.

2 goals denied - one on a phantom offside (it was close, so i can understand it being missed) and one ball crossed the goal line by about a foot, missed by the side ref who was in perfect position at the end line to see it but still missed the call

Good result for us though. Everton 1 point in last 2 games and leaking goals, Newcastle looking well below last season and Ba unhappy.

was it over? damn. i was there in the bullens road stand, but couldn't see it clearly from my angle. i was pretty sure it'd gone in, and kept waiting for the scoreboard to show a replay, but it never did.

everton's center backs were shite, though. they simply could not cope with demba ba.

goodison park, though. brilliant football ground. wonderful place.

Newcastle just extended Alan Pardew contract for another 8 years till 2020. He could be the most expensive manager to sack now.

as hard it is for me to say, but we have to learn from our london rivals to turn games and crash lesser opponents - something we're missing often lately
but hope that villa game will be different ;)

They were very lucky Nolan missed 2 sitters and they missed other chances as well. Walcott also looked a yard or two offside for them to take the lead.

Would also say we turned the game against QPR.

Bale had a few nice runs today against Croatia but just has nobody else to play with..It's to bad that a player with such quality is probably never going to play in a international tournament..

Danny Rose had his feelings hurt. He's still one of ours, right - just out on loan?

What happened to Danny is unreal. The scenes in Serbia were downright scary. A coach got attacked as well. I feel bad for Danny as racism shouldn't be taken lightly at all.

Well I don't feel so bad about today's loss after seeing Arse lose 1-0. Great defensive effort by Norwich as they kept their shape after wave after wave of attacks.

That doesn't make Gallas' performance any better...I never understood that train of thought.

Yes, they didn't make up any ground, but damn, our defense looked shite.

disagree 100%, we couldve beaten chelsea and we did great without our best player and our real playmaker. I still have aspirations to challenge for the title
