usc doest not have a mens soccer program, only a womens one.

is true thought. if you can ball they would give you personal tutors to do well in school.

i was hanging out with jaime cuellar the other day.

he came to play tennis for south carolina with a full ride. they payed for his school, they payed about 20,000$ on a cirugia in his knee. he had personal tutors and stuff. he is out of school now.

have you done the ncaa amateur test yet? watch out for that. you have to go to the ncaa clearing house and fill all the papers.

i will give you my personal email for more specific questions bc bigsoccer is very limited on the amount of messeges you get.

good luck and keep us updated.

    well thats a good question

it wasnt an injury or soccer-related at all. i had a nose-surgery coz i had problems breathing through my nose, so i would breathe from my mouth.

They fixed the sinuses in my nose by making them straight, i can breathe thru my nose now and i don't have my mouth open all the time like a retard lol

After the surgery my nose was very weak, and they said i should not play sports or do anything that would get my heart rate up fast for the rest of the year.

I'm glad i did this surgery last year and not later on when im older. I'm much better now, i just have to get back to the level i used to play

actually no i haven't. what's the clearing house?

yeah i wanted to give you my email cos last time i tried to send a message to u, i couldnt cos u exceeded ur limited in how many messages u have in ur inbox

    will do!

(there should be a thread called "Eye on La Trucha" lol)

in college soccer you are not allow to "pay" anybody, although many coaches break the rules, they just know how to do it.

when i was in los angeles, this kid who played for us was really good. i think he was born in el salvador so his college was going to be really expensive as an international student, he had not interest in college whatsoever. the rumor was that a community college coach came to him and offer him a car... of course that is penalized by the ncaa, you cannot do that under their rules, but the coach prob knew one of the college alumni who prob owned a car dealirship or something... this was prob his way of "sponsoring" the soccer team.

when you are good, people offer you all kinds of crap, youll be surprised if i told you many good things i have been offered... haha i played for a club once where the owner was italian, his daugther was at the games all the time, she looked like a model, i was allowed to come to that house late at night to watch movies with her, her dad (owner of the team) never really cared ;) not to mention their parties in those small mansions next to the beach...

as far as college soccer, there is limited scholarships for soccer, they are divided with their womens program too bc they have to offer the same number they offer to men to women.

since college football is super profitable, most of the scholarship go to their programs, same with basketball.

sometimes college coaches have to share and give 1 scholarship to 2 players so they can get half and half.

i think one of the reasons why santa barbara gets great talent is bc they dont have a football team, so they get great things for soccer players.

as far as ucla, i mean, is ucla, they have to be good at everything. kind of a shame usc does not have a mens soccer program, the same with texas. they will be HUGE in soccer.

the ncaa have to make sure you are an amateur, im not sure what happens if you got payed to play soccer as a kid and you want to play college soccer in the usa, you should contact them and ask.

everbody who wants to play college sports in the usa have to be "cleared" by the ncaa. you gone have to pay a fee, is around 50$ i think. you are basically gone answer questions about your soccer background and your middle school and high school record in both, academics and sports.

you have to do that right away, your college coach is gone ask you if you have been cleared by the ncaa.
