Oh yeah... I should have probably stopped drinking some time ago, huh? I was like 5 sheets to the wind when I posted that. Whoops.

I'm glad OK State lost because OU needed them to remain undefeated to have a shot at the BCS.

If we had any kind of offense we would have beaten ND. What an overrated squad that is.

Meh, it is better than the Weisis years. I still don't understand what ND was thinking when they gave him a 10 year contract extension after his first year.

I personally believe if it wasn't for stupid mistakes and turnovers against South Florida and Michigan, they would be 10-1 right now.

It probably has to do with the fact that Paterno has lung cancer

    Interesting timing.

Anyway, ASU has shit the bed as usual.

    New unis, same old team...

I'd call for Erickson's head, but who is a better option?

    Maybe Mike Leach?

Follow up for a bronchial illness...when you're sick at that age, you don't take no chances.

No way of knowing why he did it, think we can leave that aside as circumstantial.

Can we talk about how boring the National Championship game is going to be? And how awesome the Fiesta Bowl is going to be?

The LSU vs. Bama rematch could be a snoozer, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it's more of a wide-open game than the November 5th one.

And sure, OSU has some good arguments that they should be in the title game instead of Bama....even though I think they'd get mauled by LSU if they were.

    You had that right.

Kinda sickening watching the sports media light candles for Paterno now when a few months ago they were carrying torches and pitchforks.

I know I'm conflicted. Wish his family strength and healing during
their time of mourning, but still bad vibe in the collective psyche
about how many evil things were hushed in State College.

On a totally different note, anyone curious or excited for
National Signing Day, which is right around the corner?
I'm still hoping my Trojans can reach maximum players
under the sanctions. Funny how OSU got a slap and Miami
will probably get the same...forgive my bitter rant. grrrrrr

Yeah, that was bad timing with SC getting smacked down at the same time you became a fan.

LOL, hey it happens. I never followed or cared about college sports before I
got into the USC Masters program. No on in my family went to college, I knew
the big names and saw a few games, but really didn't care either way.
My undergraduate school didn't even have a mascot let alone sports program,
so was thrilled to become a Trojan. Knew USC was good at football, but
didn't know they were quite legendary, along with many other sports,
especially Track + Field (I was big into running and Track in h.s.)

Just like Arsenal, became a supporter in Aug '03.
Since the 49 unbeaten run, it's been tough.

Hey, i understand. You must have been awed by the history as you walked around USC's campus, and been overtaken by excitement as you approached the ivy covered arches and finally entered the famed Coliseum. I can see how you would be caught up by that.

I truly hope to enjoy that, one day. Actually, I was approached
when doing on-line Masters programs surveys. They were
offering a brand new on-line Masters in Education program,
same 1st class education delivered on-campus, presented on-line.
Knew it was a good school, but did research and was floored
how well respected USC was by it's peers.

You are an ASU grad, no? Undergrad and/or Law School?
I was shocked how many high school students in Chicago
were ACHING to go to ASU, I'm guessing because of the
    great weather.

You should go sometime, it's a cool old stadium, i went to an SC-Penn State game there ages ago. And yeah, i went to ASU undergrad. That's why i hate USC. So i was happy when they got hit by the NCAA, at least it wiped the smirk off that smug prick Kiffin's face for a while.

LOL, Kiffin, from the little I know about him has really
mellowed since coming back to USC. Actually, I
thought ASU, per Phil Steele NCAA football preview,
were going to be quite good last year.

No big shock, seems most people either LOVE or HATE
USC. I thought you would loathe U of Arizona? Only
being a Trojan for 3 years, but we do NOT like UCLA
and Notre Dame, both great schools, but 2 biggest rivals.
