In before Duncan Idaho: See now you wouldn't have this problem if you gamed on a PC. I've gamed on the same PC for X number of years, console hardware is outdated and fundamentally prone to malfunctions, PCs rule, Consoles suck, etc.
dude what the fack? get your house lightning rod or something. Do you know if you have any metal poking out from the roof top? also get a surge protector! that should keep your equipments safe
My house is surrounded by tall buildings that have lightning rods... And all my electronic equipment are connected into surge protectors... That's why I'm even more pissed ...
jadger's got a point. Hell, I use protein shakes as meals sometimes when I'm too busy to make something but I have to admit that a lot of people who drink that shit 24/7 smell like burnt plastic. Maybe it's creatin, because I don't think I smell like that, but it's a weird odor.
Those are the guys drowning themselves in protein shakes and not getting results. Diet and consistency
I didn't say anything about not working out. Hell, half my job is working out. What I don't believe in is pumping tonnes of sh!t in your body just to look like you didn't quite make it onto Jershey Shore because you were just barely beat out by Pauly D

Some people like to go hunting, some people like to drive fast cars, some people like to brew beer. Others like to lift weights. I know this is mind blowing for you, but not everyone that spends time in the gym is suffering through it to get beach muscles. For me it's my sanctuary. It's my favorite part of the day. I enjoy keeping a clean diet and sculpting my body. I don't go to a tanning bed or use 10lbs of hair gel. Just because you have some bitter vendetta against people who lift weights doesn't mean you should bash a legitimate hobby or use a stereotype to put everyone who lifts weights into one category you learned from watching MTV.
Psssht! Who needs an excuse? Besides in the span of 2 weeks, Drudge had 2 stories indicating that overweight non runners live longer and healthier. I'm doing it right. ( @jadger , I retire next month, my days of APFTs and monitoring my height/weight are over)
I also read that slightly (!) overweight non-runners have a very high life-expectancy. I think it was even a SPIEGEL story. However, I don't trust nutritional science further than I can spit. They make a 180 every decade or so I feel.
Good for you, I did not mean to belittle your favourite past-time, but you should go back and notice I never said anything about lifting weights, only supplements. I am surrounded on a daily basis by chicken-legged idiots who think lifting weights makes them a better soldier, then wonder why they can't pass selection for airborne/SF/SAR tech when people who don't look like they're in out of the ordinary shape top the class. I have friends and coworkers who use supplements and/or steroids and lift/workout. I would never want to be like them at all. Some of them are very successful and know what they're doing, but the vast majority are plain idiots, have no idea what they're doing and are just wrecking their bodies in a different way. My roommate is a prime example, his diet consists of Kraft Dinner and supplements. But then again, it might be because he is a dumbas$ eastcoast ginger. I in no way meant to infer that you all are idiots and that you all stink like Hades' toilet.
My brother is going to basic training today. Good luck to him. My poor mother had to suffer through 25 years of worrying about my dad, now she gets to worry about my brother too.
Does anyone here have any experience with DAS Keyboards? I've been using a Ducky Shine III at home for the past 6 months, but my keyboard at work is a piece of shit and I want to replace it with a nice mechanical one since I spend lots of time typing. DAS seems like the way to go since they have a good reputation for quality and their products look professional. I don't need a bunch of gamer bling on my desk at work.
what is your field of study/experience? i know bunch of companies here and have lots of connections on linkedin. I think i might be able to help at one point once you are done with the master and ready to move to the west cost
Thanks mate! I'm an economist. Currently working at the US BLS, but once I am finished with my masters, probably going to take 2 years since I can only go part time, I want to move on to working in private industry.
that explains IE and McAfee i dont know much about economy as i am more of a tech person (security to be exact) . but i think your field is on demand in huge organizations. anyhow, good luck again!
