Radiohead is an acquired taste. I like that kind of music so it was easy for me to get into them. My Iron Lung, Airbag, Karma Police, High and Dry from The Bends and Ok Computer are pretty damn good tunes - if you like that sort of thing, but I considered it very progressive stuff compared to their, at the time, contemporaries; Oasis and Blur, marking the return of "Brit Pop"...God, I hate that term. I have not really been able to get into their later stuff as much though. I do like Coldplay and believe that their first two records were pretty damn good. Chris Martin has quite the vocal range and it does several songs justice. I thought he over used it in X & Y.
Heh, satellite radio and the internet has helped me find new music that I wouldn't hear elsewhere. Unless I have satellite radio on hand, I usually listen to what's on my ipod.
meh, these days i just listen to flamenco (paco de lucia is my hero), old school rap and 1 hour trance sets while at the gym (markuz shultz, armin van buuren, above and beyond) although i gotta say, ever since pop music has gotten more electronic the whole EDM scene has slowly degraded. at least i still have jimi when i need some good sound in my brain side note, i have a week off from work due to renovations, and this is the first time in years im up at 2:00am i feel like a teen

Anyone think the American media needs a little dose of perspective? Showing live footage of a boat capsized in a marina in CA. I know its always helpful to try to tie to the story to your local audience, but FFS lets keep the attention where it belongs. Such a tragedy for those in Japan.
I know mate but its amazing how poor the American media can be considering the advantages this country has over others.
These nuclear plants might end up becoming a bigger problem than the earthquake and tsunami's if they cna't figure out a way to keep them cool
How many teams have a shot at winning the title in the NBA this season, 8? a very high number, the playoffs are gonna be fun. For Neutrals, and big team haters, I'd have to think a Bulls versus Thunder matchup would be very exciting(and disastrous for stern). Anything but Heat v lakers and I will be tuned in.
There are a lot of good teams, but it's hard to look past San Antonio/Lakers out west and Bulls/Celtics in the east. Anyone else is a long shot I think, although there have been some big surprises the last couple years. I'm enjoying the way the Nuggets are playing. Not sure they are a better team, but they are a lot more fun to watch now.
None of the top teams in the East have anyone to guard Howard, so I wouldn't call them a longshot, and no one has the ability to keep James and Wade quiet for 7 games, so they always have a good shot. And if the Bulls are gonna be called a real contender, than surely OKC has to be given a shot too, and Dallas at some point, needs to be taken seriously.
Based on their regular season performance against the big teams, it's hard to see the Heat doing much. But I can absolutely see them either getting to the finals on the back of their Two and a Half Men or crashing out early and ugly to the Knicks. Btw, would the Pacers be the worst team to ever make a playoffs? I know the East bottoms out pretty quickly and a few barely below .500 teams sneak in, but Indiana are around .410 which is ugly. Makes for a much much easier first round match up for the one seed than Philly for the number two (the Sixers have been surprisingly competent of late and could take a game or two).
