No way in hell are we going after Dzeko if Gomez is still here. Makes absolutely no sense because they're too similar and Dzeko wouldn't start, unless he's really doesn't care about his career anymore to want to move from one club to another just to be a bench warmer.

I am not saying he is a superstar but he is a decent player.

I think along as many that the FO thinks of Gomez as top dog, they are not looking for someone to replace him. What most likely they have in mind is a bench/rotation player who can play in Gomez position along other positions and would come in cheap.

I think Bojan fits the bill here

My only issue with Bojan is that he is too small. Already with Shaq, we've bought a small player, I'd like Bayern to keep what they have which is tall, strong and technical players at the same time. Otherwise, he would be a great choice.

It's alright, because you know what they say: speed kills. Shaqiri has plenty of that and he's pretty bulky for a winger as well. Not all wingers are Cristiano's height.

Always thought Dzeko was flash in the pan and Gomez is better, in my humble opinion.

Not sure about Bojan beeing an Gomez-Backup...i see him more on the wing, as an backup for RibRob.

Since Sahin has been thrown in the round here as a possible CM....what about Andersón from ManU? Heard they want to get rid of him...like the dude a lot, very fast and versatile with a good shot. Any thoughts?

Bojan Krkic is good only for Barça, he sucked in Roma with Luis Enrique (but its not the point, all the squad sucked this season) anyway he's too different by Gomez, Bojan is a winger, a good winger, attacking winger, too offensive for us and dont need players kind him; but......Dzeko too is very different by Gomez, Mario is a striker for the last 16 meters while Dzeko scores from outside too, but dont think we can have beide so we have to search for another kind of striker, but I ask myself and to you: why Chelsea has 2 similar strikers, Drogba and Torres, and we cannot? FC Bayern is a big team and needs a big roster, the trouble this season has been the roster too thin, we cannot play a CL final with players kind Contento, so we have to search good players who accept the bench, guys kind Tymoschuk 4 example, kind Müller, kind van Buyten, I have many names in my wish list but I prefere to wait to tell u them, ciao, Gruss FCB!!!!!!!!;)

Dzeko is not too similar to Gomez. What is the deal with some people saying every striker is like Gomez? Dzeko can play out wide or behind a striker - just like Higuain - as well as scoring in the box. Gomez is stricly a box predator, but he is the best in the world at getting himself into position to score goals in the box.

Just because you like Gomez doesn't mean you should sh*t on every striker that could challenge him for a spot.

Giroud IS like Gomez. Almost a carbon copy.

Bojan just sucks. He needs to humble himself and do some extra training.

I doubt their will be any transfers or serious news in the next few weeks. The FO would be smart to not have any of that in the news so the players can focus on the 2 finals.

Does not matter if they are similar or not. Guys like the ones thrown around simply won't be an issue if Bayern approach the transfer window like they have done for the last 20 years. We have the main guy in Gomez. There won't be another main guy brought in. Any striker who would cost 18+M simply is not in the cards.

Petersen is a poor man's Gomez clone ;)

Yeah there is no way that Higuain or Dzeko are going to be within our price range. I would say 18M is even being generous. The striker that ultimately gets signed is probably going to cost 8-12M at the very most.

I'm just wondering what people are watching that makes them think that Dzeko and Higuain are just like Gomez.

Petersen needs a loan big time.

Bojan is anything but a bad player, on the contrary he left Barcelona out of his own will because Pedro, Villa and Messi are ahead of him. He is very fast, tricky and can play as a central striker or a winger. His kind of play is all about link up, and his dribbling skills are quite good.

I think he'd make a superb transfer simply because he won't expect to play all the time, yet can still score goals, and plenty of them. He scored something like 46 for Barcelona I think, and some of them quite important. He's 21 years old yet already has a reputation which precedes him.

Unless Roma charge a delirious sum, he should be our transfer. Would make for a great transfer imo. He's got considerable experience and has been through a lot with plenty to prove. Not to mention he'd fit in well with our balanced squad, and would want to make an impression.

Equilibrium, utilizing his usual deftness and extensive knowledge of real madrid - made that claim succinctly. Haha. Regardless, repped. I think many of us were hoping we'd still be able to reach the final next year with some key players.

Anyway, knowing Bojan will leave has definitely changed things a bit. He could come for a fee of 12-15 million and would slot in quite nicely I should say. In particular if Ribery and Robben come off injured.

I've just been following him since he scored that goal against Barcelona 3 years ago. He's pretty much been tried but obviously succeeds as a CF, no doubt.

Sahin has been bad this season, true. However, this could all very wel change next season. He's shown glimpses of his brilliance this season however. I am 100% Mourinho will not let this kid go. Him and Khedira would be wonderful in midfield.

the guy doesn't mind being a backup. My only concern is that he is 25 and this is his first season he is very good i hope he doesn't end up being one season wonder. I have mix feelings but for 10 mil it's ok i guess. 15-20 mil it's just too much for this guy
