Indeed, I've forgot about him ... Nevertheless, not even Man Utd or Madrid always get who they are pursuing (Neuer, Schweini and Ribéry, are examples of that) ...

Really no one for the defense...anyone? I wouldn´t go into the season with that quality thin squad in defense. At least one quality FB pleeease!

At the other hand: Im still against Sahin in all kind of ways. If we go for another CM, I´d prefer Anderson or M´Vila here. But Im also for pushing Luiz Gustavo. The Guy is full of potential.

Mourinho...would be awesome and a quite obvious choice as next coach for us BUUUT....I doubt that he would survive long since Bayern, or especially Hoeneß want a Coach that shuts his mouth and never gives his own option, and since we know Mourinho is like Van Gaal and would never back down from his opinion -> trouble ahead here.

The first issue isn't really an issue for me imo. Bayern have Robbery and Gomez, counter attacking specialists and if Muller were to play 4 great counter attacking players. I think the addition of Neuer, Alaba's rise, and if Mourinho were to come the defenders don't suffer (can't see how?), our defense is definitely strong enough to withstand pressure. I think Bayern currently have one of the best defenses in Europe and this year only for once, they've been the most balanced.

He is however someone that does bring negative drama, but I'd imagine he's one of those "you hate when he's against you, and love when he's in your team" type of deal. Still some of the things he does are frankly embarrassing and I don't believe our FO would be happy with him if he went as far as he's gone with Madrid. Doing this however, he tends to move the pressure off the players and onto himself but regardless, his attitude is something he would need to fix.

There's 8 defenders, 4 CBs and 4 full-backs so I don't know where you are getting the thin squad from. The only real issue here is perhaps whether Contento is good enough as a back-up, but we are likely to get our answer in the next 10 days in the upcoming 2 matches.

Another CB wouldn't hurt, but I'm ok going into next season with only Boa, Bads, Dante and DvB ... Boa and Bads will play the majotity of the CL matches and will rotate with Dante in the big BL matches, as DvB (hopefully) will play in the early stages of Pokal and weak BL opposition.

Don't see the need to buy another full back, we are set with Lahm-Alaba and I don't have a problem with Rafinha and Contento as their replacements, especially because Lahm almost never gets suspended or injuried, and I don't think Alaba is an injury prone type of player (and his suspension on the CL final was an accident, it wasn't an PK and he didn't deserved the YC) ...

Gustavo is and will continue to be the 1st choice as DM, and that won't change even if we sign Sahin, IMHO... I'm all forward to this sign, as I would be if we were after M'Vila or Anderson ... All 3 are quality players that would add deapth to our squad ...

Mourinho would be awesome, but I would go for Pep instead ...

M'Villa is likely signing for Arsenal, and he would cost way too much for a depth player.

If Sahin wants to leave and Bayern make a proposal I think we can get him ...

I would prefer someone other than Mourinho. It's not that don't rate Mourinho -- I think he's one of the best -- I just think that Bayern needs someone long-term to create a lasting legacy and I don't think that Mourinho is a long-term type of guy. He likes the challenge of building a champion, but gets bored once that's done.

I dont think we would hire Mourinho. Cos we have enough firecrackers in our FO already

Mixing Mourinho with Ulli and Rummenigge is an attempt to recreate Hiroshima.

Maybe it would be resolved with fistcuffs. Moreover I dont see him as a long term coach anywhere. he would definitely get bored after 3yrs

That's kind of my feelings on this, he brings way too much atmosphere with him. Add to that our own squad plus the 3 generals at bayern... It could be a powder keg..

Mou Mou is a great coach, but at Bayern? No thanks, there'd just be too much drama. Can you imagine him and Uli Hoeneß in the same room?

To move to more realistic issues, we are still searching for a back-up keeper. Drobny was the one we have been looking at, but Tom Starke's name has started to do the rounds. With Wiese moving to Hoffenheim, this could very much be a realistic acquisition.

I did read it in Bild though, so a pinch of Salz and all that...

Well, he'd help us dominate for sure. I don't his fantastic quality as a coach even if he is a pretty bad person imo. I can only imagine how Toni Kroos would play under him. But apparently, the BL isn't competitive enough for him.

He never said that...he said that right now, his main issue for not coming to the Bundesliga would be that he doesn't know German - and proper communication was very important to him with his players. From what I can gather from many of his comments, he is a huge BuLi fan.

In the end, probably the only club that could come close to afford him would be Bayern anyway if - that is ever even in his plans, but regardless; I think he really appreciates German football.

So everything he says is supposed to be 100% reflective of his opinions? Of course not. This is just my perspective, with Inter, Chelsea and Madrid - Mourinho came to conquer the league and bring a club a european trophy. With the highest respect to Klopp, Mourinho would probably win the entire thing in his first season.

Well if Giroud and Sahin come, that's about 20m euros in those two alone. Add the 16m euros we've spent already, and that's a solid 36m euro spending spree for one summer, on top of last summer where we spent around the same amount.

We hardly ever spend in the summer if we've already spent the summer before. It's always been "our way". So I think BVB's rise to Bundesliga dominance the past 2 seasons along with beating Bayern 4 times in a row, could very well be the final push we needed.

Exactly ... I've always tought it was stupid to spend nothing in one summer and then splash 70-80m in the next one ...

I rather we continue to do it this way, always attending the team's needs and spending 20-40m each summer, instead of spending nothing only to spend big time in the next season...
