if Roma wishes to buy Bojan must spend 40 millions so we could easily say he's a Barcelona player, anyway he's not ok for Bayern..........

Because it doesn't make any sense to get Higuain . Like coach said any player that costs money, he will be too good to be on the bench as much as two posters believe he would play out wide or behind Gomez, that is just a nice little pipe dream that's never going to happen. Neither is it going to happen with Dzeko, who apparently can also play wide (wow, you learn something new every day!!!!) but he can't get a game out wide or isn't even considered there though City's wide players range from average to total crap. But you know.. being able to dribble a bit for a striker = they can play out wide, as well as DM because they both had that one tackle this season where they got the ball. I just wonder if Robben or Alaba will be starting at GK next season, since Neuer will be fighting with Gustavo for the CF position.

Players like Higuain are best to buy in FIFA, not in real life. We can get someone who can accept a bench role and play whenever Bayern plays twice per week and hope they deliver then to be fit enough incase Gomez gets injured. Yes there such a thing as having too many good superstars, at the end it's best to have a healthy team.

What do you think would happen to Alonso?

Well he said that when we want someone we rarely miss the chance in signing them, and I agree ...

As for the players you named, the only one I put in the Failed signing transfer is Vidal. We could have signed Coentrão and we would, it was just a matter of paying the cash that Benfica wanted, and thank god we didn't ,as Alaba proved to be way better than him... Götze ?? We never really chased him ... And the mistake with Hummels was letting him go in the 1st place ...

Well, he'll rotate a bit. Of course, Alonso is a one of a kind midfielder. One wonders how long he'll continue to feature for.

I would personally welcome the signing of Sahin, as it would allow Kroos to compete with Muller in attacking midfield.

Shaqiri, Dante, Giroud, Sahin, and a solid backup GK would rate as a good summer in my book.

Current first team has 25 players in the squad, but that includes Butt, Riedmuller, Sattelmeier, Breno, Usami, Pranjic and Olic. Only Butt, Pranjic and Olic really count towards the effective squad size (21) and all three of them are likely departing.

My question...how big an effective squad should Bayern have going into next season coming off of the Euros? I like the moves that the FO has made so far (and the rumored moves for Giroud and Sahin). Is this enough for squad depth or do we need more warm bodies for depth if not for direct competition? (This is more than just a question of subs, but also one of fatigue and long-term injury, both of which we saw after the WM).

    Thoughts?

I distinctly remember Klinsmann showing no interest in Hummels actually. What a pretty bad decision on his part.

I think we will be fine if we sign Giroud, Sahin, and a good backup GK. That would give us 2 players in every position except for winger, where we'd have only 3 players for 2 positions.

Emre Can and (hopefully) Mitchell Weiser can play if we run into serious injury/suspension problems.

Couldn't agree more ... And Müller can cover on the wings as well, so I think if we do sign Giroud and Sahin we are set to go into nest season ... But I wouldn't mind another striker with a Müller/Olic set of skills ...

I think we would be complete with these signings and really wouldnt be surprised if we try for a trebble with that kind of bench this time...

Our bench couldnt handle a 3 tournies this season, the fall of piggy really knocked us off our socks... it took months to regain that lead we had..

However Kroos developed beautifully as a result of it.

^^ I called that, he wasn't coming, first off the arrogant manner about how we were sure we were going to get him (same with Vidal). Our midfield is crowded as well, and the whole 'coming home' dynamic you all had. But yes, it was a fail on our part.

And let's get over Hummels. The culprit is long gone, and Matts has clearly proven that no one hates their youth team more than he does. (SMH). Well at least we fired his dad after all his comments.:rolleyes:

I look forward to seeing Emre Can play next season, but I hear he's very injury prone. true?

Honestly mourinho might not be so bad....

My concerns with him is that one: he tends to play it safe or defensive in away fixtures against top opposition in champions league, which requires a defensive minded team. (bayern and real are not)

Two: he brings ALOT of atmosphere around any club he manages, which could be drama we don't need. Especailty at FC hollywood ;)

But other then that he's a brilliant coach
