    I bought HHH's "Elevator" a few months ago, it's pretty good. And I've heard only 3 Fall Out Boy songs, two of which I liked. "Dance Dance" rocks.

    Which threads are you trying to access? I bin threads that aren't allowed yes but you shouldn't be able to see them.

    What exactly makes two cities "twins"? Because 1) American cities don't get much more "southern" than Atlanta, and 2) Atlanta doesn't touch any water

    :confused: I think you mean southern cities dont get much more northern than Atlanta :D

    So Bayern, why doesn't Philly have an MLS team (too close to DC United, maybe)?

    Nicodemus, do you think Birmingham could support an MLS team? There's no major sports there (double A baseball, minor league hockey, probably an NBADL team). I know MLS is pushing new teams to develop soccer-specific stadiums, but couldn't Legion Field host a team.

    Just some thoughts.

    I don't know, I've only been to Atlanta a few times. What makes it so "northern"?

    Because:

    1) Philly sports fans suck/aren't interested in an MLS team (they did have the Philadelphia Freedom in the WUSA)
    2) As far as location is concerned, Philly's pretty much equidistant from DC and NYC (closer to NYC), so any MLS fans there probably either Metrostars or DCU fans.

    Aw come on. I think if you live in the south (me) it gives you license to make fun of the south. Besides, it was more an off hand jab at people who know nothing of the south (not you, Bayernwake).

    What I meant to say was a small town/city down here is the way to get 'really' southern. Actually I dont go to Atlanta much, so what do I know.

    i know, only saying.

    In fact, I love everything south man, probably the best part of the USA.

    I consider all of you Toon-heads part of my family. ^^; over the past few months I think we actually grew the community...thanks in no part to our Mod, Toon-Squared.

    I think it's time we made him like a christmas card or somthing.

    I'm sure they have the resourses and capacity to do it. I saw my first US Nat game there and it was awesome!** But you can expect one to be pretty mismanaged if it happens. I think they tried to get an NFL team there not too long ago. I know Mobile goes in and out of hockey and baseball teams; I think Montgomery does too.

    And I don't know if we would have enough crowd support to keep it going for too long. Honestly I encounter a fair amount of hostility when I try to talk soccer. Hockey, baseball, tennis you can talk about and just get the polite nod. Mention soccer and you'll probably get the "pffft :rolleyes:" treatment.



    ** my dad knew nothing about soccer before that, but he became very passionate about it, yelling at the ref and all. We had this old couple behind us that kept telling us to "Sit down!" Ever seen a 60 year old man (my dad) tell an 80 year old man to go f*k himself? Priceless.

    :D You know I used to have a grudge against the south. Couldnt wait to get out of here. Then I began to travel and talk on message boards, and when I heard non-southerners talking ill about it I went, "hey wait a minute...."

    I think most haters get their opinions from 2-bit comedians on comedy central.
