Everton are 4 points back of Arsenal for the last Champions League spot with a game in hand. Game is in the 10th minute.

Naismith puts Everton up 1-0. Moments before Howard reacted quickly to clean up a loss back pass.

Everton have looked very good; not much for Howard to do so far.

The half ends with Howard controlling a cross over the top of Giroud's head.

    2-0 at the half.

Earlier in the half he stopped a shot that was a little too his upper right hand side and controlled at the second attempt with Giroud bearing down on him.

He also seemed to briefly misjudge, or respect Distin to clear, a cross that he punched away.

There needs to be a gif of Coleman beating Cazorla behind his back, leaving him to stand there with him arms out as if to say, "what just happened?"

Howard tips an Oxlaide-Chamberlain shot onto the crossbar and away.

    Full time 3-0 Everton

Howard had a couple interventions early in the 2nd half, but nothing too eye catching if my memory is correct.

Oxlade-Chamberlain troubled Howard a little with a near miss, but right now Everton's D are making it easy for him to bat clean-up.

Howard had two very, very good saves. One on Podolski, one on Ox. Otherwise wasn't all that troubled as Everton handled their business

The first was a stunning save, the second I think would not have been a save if it wasn't already heading for the crossbar. That ball didn't seem to deviate out of its course from TH's touch. Regardless, he had one out of this world save and otherwise marshalled his crew well, including Stones, who seems to have a bright future. Jagielski better hope he heals up soon.

    Editted:

I was watching the game yesterday and thinking that back four was as good as any I'd seen in the EPL this year. The two outside backs are frighteningly quick and skillful on the ball. Distan has turned into a rock in the back, and again Stones seemed to fit right in, other than a few nervy touches. It might have been the toothless nature of the Gunners' attacking, but they rarely seemed troubled yesterday. The only stumbling block on the way to 4th place IMO is Citeh coming to Goodison needing maximum points. That is going to be a barn burner. All the other opponents are beatable, including Man U at home. What a great time for Moyes to have to come back to Goodison, with Everton in this form, in position for the CL.
