Little suprised that they've thrown him straight on with Saha fit, I thought they might've introduced him as a sub today instead. Still he's only there for such a short time.

YES! LD gets the start! I hope he puts one in the back of the net, I also hope it's not snowing like crazy.

Could be a rough day for Howard... Heitinga and Neill in the back. Be interesting to see where Fellaini and Cahill line up, because Osman and Pienaar will likely be on the wings? From this iteration it looks like Donovan in the hole, but we won't know until the match starts. Someone has to play CMF...

That's Moyes. He thinks Donovan has been playing at the highest international level, let's see what we have. Maybe he saw something in training, but seriously, have they been training at all?

    I like it.

tough game with Arsenal at Highbury. Will he get any/many chances? You know he will work like a machine. That is a given.

    The Beeb confirms the lineups

    1425: TEAMS Arsenal v Everton
Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Gallas, Vermaelen, Traore, Denilson, Diaby, Ramsey, Nasri, Eduardo, Arshavin.
Subs: Fabianski, Rosicky, Vela, Silvestre, Merida, Eastmond, Emmanuel-Thomas.
Everton: Howard, Neville, Neill, Heitinga, Baines, Osman, Cahill, Fellaini, Pienaar, Donovan, Saha.
Subs: Nash, Bilyaletdinov, Vaughan, Coleman, Duffy, Baxter, Mustafi.

Like I called it earlier, I'm not surprised. Now let's see him inflict some damage, and show what he's made of.

I hope the BigSoccer squirrels are rested and ready. They may be running harder than Landon Donovan today.

of course. I am sure they have both outdoor and indoor facilities. It does not snow much in the UK, but it rains like hell.

Dont know. Indoor training is perfect for LD. Let's see how he does in the snow.

One thing to remember, Arsenal destroyed Everton in the last tie.

    Let's see some payback.

If you are Moyes leading Everton against Arsenal on the road, why would you leave one of the world's top counter attackers on the bench? A no-brainer for Moyes imo.

I don't think I've been this excited about a yank abroad debut in a long long time.

FSC was supposed to show Wigan v Villa this AM. Since that got postponed, any prospect that they'll get this game? Their only alternative will be replays.

LD starting in the Premiership against Arsenal at the very same time it is snowing in Central Florida. What were those odds? ;)
