I'm guessing it'd be faster for him. I have a lot of trouble streaming games as it's often very choppy even after 15 mins buffering.

What sort of 'net connection are you on? I've only got 256k ADSL, although at the end of this month I'm upgrading to 8 mbit.

There are a number of reasons why, but one of the biggest is that most of the software doesn't work on a mac...

this is a good reason, mac, mac mac, good for the look but very hard to find something compatible with this thing

Actually, almost all the main software you can get for mac...There's even a few different versions of qq (though after the 2006 edition came out, there is still a few problems with the mac version). Haha, the only thing is that in China you can't get very much of the daoban stuff for a mac, although they are gaining in popularity, so I expect in another year or two, you probably will be able to...

Looks like PPlive no longer has any sports channel, and PPStream doesn't have any channels that shows soccer any more.

TVAnts have espn but it's buffering bit time for me. Guangdong Sports's video quality is too low to watch. Only Shanghai Sports is good enough for me.

Fuvk, I guess I should just pay up for the HK Cable TV.

btw, do you guys know if CCTV5 will air ALL the World Cup games? Is it al live or some on tape delay?

there the link for sports channel
    http://www.p2p-sports.com/guangdong-sports.htm
    http://www.fussball-foren.net/fussball-live.html

with the different link for the software ;) and most r working. today i watched Hubei Tv on PPlive, Shanghai tv on PPstream and Shandong tv on TVants at the same times and all works pretty well. Guangdong sports quality is horrible that why hubei tv for today's game

Seb really saved me this morning. The PPLive software's channel links are crap. Use those websites.

CCTV-5 will definitely air all the World Cup matches live.
