Yesterday 3 bigsoccer members & me watched the USA-Germany game .We were in Brian O'Neills and had a great time( especially me ;) :p ) .In addition to our little crowd , 4 Dynamo employees joined us .
    Here the news :

    5000 season tickets sold !!
Parking fees for season ticket holders will be 8 $ ( instead 10 bucks )
The reduced parking prices will be available for the second game

How does that compare to other MLS franchises? Anybody have any idea how many season tickets the other teams have approx?

Real Salt Lake sold about 5,000 season tickets last year.

I believe Oliver Luck had set the goal for Houston at 6,000 to 7,000 season tickets back in January.

I think this is a good start.

I couldn't tell you how many ST's we've sold but I can tell you we don't pay for parking anymore. :)

5,000 is a good number considering all the crap slung around your squad this year before you've even been able to step on a field for a real league match.

I'm looking forward to your first visit to Gillette.

The american team was for 48 minutes equal. The americans play a "high standart" football ( soccer) , with good passing ,and technic. The only thing ,which is missing , are 1 or 2 strikers .America needs too many chances for scoring a goal.I guess, when Donovan and others will be back , it will look different .
For me it was very important , that my team played for Klinsmann .We ( Germany) need now (media)peace , we have to get in shape , all the focus will be on us ...
And thank you , after the Italy debakel , this was a good start , even when you call yesterdays US team a B team ...

5,000 is great. DCU usually gets between 7,500 and 8,000 "full season equivelents". This includes group sales where a large group only goes to one game but because there are so many people, it might as well be a season ticket.

You're welcome. Do we get free beer?
And it was more like the C team. Keller and Cherundolo are the only certain WC starters, although Gibbs will probably start at CB.

When asked last night during the Q&A thread, Oliver Luck said,

"We've sold over 2,000 season tickets. I really don't know how this compares to other clubs."

Well, obviously, 5,000 is over 2,000 - but why wouldn't Luck have said 5,000 if they really had sold 5,000 season tix? Boy, I hope those Dynamo employees didn't mean 5,000 sold for opening night, w/just over a week to go...

Christie & Ivan said clearly :
We sold 5000 seats .I asked: is that season tickets ? Reply : 5000 seats
Back on the pick a seat day , Ashley told me 3000 tickets.

Dallas will have about 10,000. That's all I know. 5,000 is pretty good for the fact that you guys have had little time to prepare and the name has changed, etc. I think each MLS team is aiming for a base of 10,000, which helps greatly in the march toward profitability and exciting games.

What's the difference between a "seat" and a "season ticket"?
