Everybody will agree that 2011 has been a rotten year for Korean football. A frustrating Asian Cup, the widening gap between us and Japan, the bench-ridden status of our European players, and the CKR disaster.

But 2012 will be better! What are some realistic hopes we can have? Here are some of mine:

    1) LCY comes back! God I miss him. It's no coincidence that Bolton just happens to be one of the worst teams in the EPL with his absence.

    2) KSY moves to a better club. It doesn't have to be a perennial CL team, but he needs a new challenge. He's the most important player in the NT, and there's no reason why he should be content with being a good player in the third-rate SPL.

    3) The KNT dispatches Kuwait at home and replaces CKR.

    4) PCY finally begins to consistently shine for Arsenal in the absence of Chamakh and Gervinho, and becomes a reliable back-up for the inevitably cooling RVP.

    5) NTH gets some starting roles for Valenciennes.

    6) KJC is moved to a club that will help him find his best position.

    7) SHM gets back on track as his club's next main striker after HSV pulls itself out of the relegation zone.

The end of the world in December 2012 so I don't have to watch our football stagnate even more.

Rotten year indeed, but that bolded part, not really my concern.

And your 1-7s, I agree with all of it and wish the same as well. Especially #4.

After this season, not to sound like a pessimist cuz Im not, but I learned one thing.

Dial in your expectations. This season imo was really the one where it seemed like things were really going to happen for team and players. My only hope is that LCY comes back good as new. Everything else...bleh.

I'm satisfied with our attacking side. Aside from PCY, they are all young and can only improve next year.

I just hope that our defense gets better in 2012. I would like to see some Korean defenders in action when 2012-13 season starts up.

    My hopes for 2012 :

    0) South Korea's vital "double dragon pair"Lee Chung Yong-Ki Sung Yong " both play in Premier League and perform like hell for their respective clubs with tons of assists and world class passes.

    1) Ko Myung Jin establishes himself as the best defensive midfielder of the whole K-league and leads FC Seoul to new heights...

    2) Yoo Byung Soo scores a crackload of goals in saudi league and AFC Champions league to a point that CKR (or is follower) cannot overlook him anymore..

    3) Lee Chun Soo has a great season in J-league (or K-league), gets a shot at the KNT and scores a crucial FK in the 90mns against, let's say, Iran !

    4) Lee Seung Hyul wakes up from his 2011 Lethargic seaon and thanks to a move to Europe, improves to the point that he gets called again.

    5) Kim Dong Chan finally earns a KNT cap !

    6) Oh Jae Seok and Yoo Jong-Hyun turn out to be great defenders that can help the KNT team coach to build an unbreakable wall before JSR

    7)
Kim Min Woo finally plays in J-league 1 and his great performances help Sagan Tosu remain in the japanese top league.

    8) Park Joon Tae plays more regularly with Incheon United and becomes one of K-league best attacking midfielder, developing his trademark dribbling skills

    9) Ko Moo Yeol, Han Sang Woon, Lim Sang Hyub, Lee Jong Ho, Yoon Il Rok and Baek Sung Dong establish themselves as regular players in K-league.

    10) NO INJURIES FOR THESE GUYS PLEASE !

Plus he already took part in 2 straight world cups and had a long experience in french league too.

If good fortune spares him from severe injuries, PCY could play in two more world cups (2014-2018) !

I hope I get to see this type of line up soon in 2012.

    -----------------------Jung Sung Ryung
Kim Min Woo---Hong Jeong Ho---Kim Young Kwon---Park Joo Ho/Yoon Suk Young
    ------------------------Ki Sung Yong
    ----------------Koo Ja Cheol
    ---------------------------------Nam Tae Hee
    Lee Chung Yong------------------------------Son Heung Min
    ----------------------------Park Chu Young

is it just me or do I see KJC as a roy keane type of player, ksy as a paul scholes type of player, nth as a silva type player and Shm as a pjs type of player.

and yeah get that cho kwang rae coach out
