The year before the Olypmics, seems a stupid risk and eats up time she shouldn't have tho spare this year (judgning how time consuming it is from comments from what actors and actresses participating in the swedish variation of it have said). In a year after the Olympics, sure she can go ahead and dance all she wants.

Misty May ruptured her achilles tendon (I think) on that show.

OMG i was watching the announcement video on their home page. In case your wondering how skinny models really are, check out Clooneys ex and Italian model sitting next to hope. SCARY!!!!! Hope arms are twice the diameter.

Yep. She did. And several of the pro dancers have had injuries.

She did a good job. I have no interest at all in this show, but I watched it (well, I YouTubed it) for Hope. I am pretty impressed with how graceful she is in those high heels. See for yourself...

Yeah, like she couldn't get hurt is soccer practice...

Besides, if they can teach Solo to loosen up and relax a bit, that can't be a bad thing... Might make for a quieter WPS season next year. ;)

I say the visibility is good for the sport. And who cares about the Olympics anyway? Its four years till the next WWC.

Ok then! Tonight Hope Solo dances 'the Jive'. How do ya think she will do with that? :D The gal was born to it! Nice Job! And so the feedback was: 'you are doin that jive just fine, but you need to develop a sense of appropriate timing...' Who says art does not imitate life? Have I got that right? .

I'm lovin this on so many levels... Go Hope! This is good for the sport, good for Solo, and just plain funny. Also, she dances pretty damn well...

I've been watching this show for the first time in my life and I had no idea Hope Solo was so hammy in front of camera. She definitely loves being in the spotlight and has no problems doing these dances. The rest of these celebrities look like they are ready to die after the numbers are over and she barely breaks a sweat!

I HOPE she lasts to the end on the show

Honestly I'm enjoying watching Hope on DWTS. I was wondering how she would be in front of the cameras because in the past it took a while for the athletes to let their personality out but she seems right at home there. I thought it was great last night that they showed a small clip of her playing! Good press for the team. And she's actually pretty good!

Here's to hoping she makes it far and stays injury free (sorry had to add that last little bit in!)

Agree with all the comments here. She is bringing much deserved attention to soccer( both men and women). US WNT is fabulous; people who have interest in sports ought to know about them.

Hope Solo looks stronger and more muscular than her dancing partner! I wouldn't worry about her getting hurt from prancing around the stage, soccer is the more dangerous activity.

I'm trying to find a Hope Solo jersey but so far unsuccessful. I already have an Abby Wambach jersey and I want a Hope Solo one too.

I'd be more worried about that Chaz guy getting the boot. He seemed like he was dying. He wasn't even dancing fast either! Hopefully he doesn't have heart attack while on the air!

Does anybody know where Dancing On The Stars is located? I live in Los Angeles,CA and maybe I can go to the show and root for her at the very least.

They always have a small segment about training and other stuffs before the actual dance and it's great exposure for the dancer and whatever she is associated with.

If Hope has another game, they will show her at the game again.

From my understanding Hope's jerseys aren't available yet. I have seen her mention it a few times on Twitter but if I remember correctly she mentioned something about thanking Nike for making them so maybe they will be available soon.
