Hong Kong is having trouble finding a coach for the HK Team. Apparently Goran Paulic does not have an A-grade coaching license which is HKFA's pre-requisite for hiring him. So either HKFA has to change its pre-requisite or hire someone else. Given HKFA Chairman Brian Leung's love for Goran, HKFA probably will change its pre-requisite.

LCD Quitos will be on their way to Tokyo for the FIFA World Club Cup and are interested to play a friendly in HK. But the HKFA and them are still in negotiations. Macao vs Hong Kong and Malaysia vs HK are still not 100% confirmed. Anyway I think Hong Kong needs to play more friendlies and against stronger opponents to prepare for the Asian Cup qualifiers.

Looks like the top four are breaking away slighty, but Woffo Tai Po will be disappointed in losing to Convoy and therefore losing a bit of ground. Kitchee host South China next week in what should be a good match
HKFA chairman Brian Leung said both Goran Paulic and Dejan Antonic are against the idea of flying to Malaysia to play a friendly, therefore that game is cancelled. But HKFA is still working on two more friendly games for HK team to play before AFC Asian Cup qualifiers in Jan. Kitchee vs South China is going to be big. South China has gone to mainland China for a whole week's training camp in preparation for this game.
Yes, they will. It is the only confirmed friendly HK will play as of now. We just can't find good opponents. Anyone out there wants a friendly game and an easy win?

http://translate.google.com/transla...icle?mid=2673&hl=zh-TW&ie=UTF-8&sl=auto&tl=en Hong Kong - India in January 2009?
HKFA chairman Brian Leung said on his blog that India agreed to play HK in a friendly in January next year. So the game should be set then. In my opinion we need more games to prepare our team for the Asian Cup qualifiers.
Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and new to HK football. I've become interested in the HK league as it seems quite different (and judging from the posts, a stupid FA). I was thinking of flying out to HK next year to watch a game or two, how much does it cost to get into a game?
They've shown they are a step above the likes of Macau and should concentrate on getting games against teams with the strength of say Vietnam or Malaysia. Would be good to see them play India as reported in an earlier post, but India themselves should be looking higher than HK as they need to prepare for 2011 Asian Cup, playing HK, quite frankly won't tell them anything about themselves.
It costs $60 to get in a game. Most of them are held at Mongkok Stadium, you can get there by taking MTR to Prince Edward Station and walk for about 10 minutes. Match information can be found on www.hkfa.com if you are lucky...
We really do need games against stronger opposition. Particularly West Asian teams, because we are going to play Yemen and Bahrain. I would think teams like Jordan and Oman will be good opponents to have.
Malaysia will take on Hong Kong in a friendly on Nov 25 and Singapore four days later. Both matches are at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil. "I still have two more matches that can be used to strengthen the team, and I believe the players will get back to winning ways." http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Thursday/Sport/2406733/Article/index_html
I just checked the conversion of $60, that's £5.20! An absolute bargain if I may say so, my local team charge £10 ($115), and they're terrible! Good to see the NT get a win, even if it was against Macau.
As far as I know that game is cancelled. I don't know about the Singapore game. The game against India next Jan is more or less confirmed.
