So it is official!! We have a game on the 23rd (Saturday) against Honduras at HDC, @6pm PST. FIFA originally listed the match on the 24th, but now it is confirmed by US Soccer site. So it will be on Saturday evening!

Tickets- I think all of you have received the email from the AO main about the tickets in the supporters section. Tom also sent out emails about getting tickets (with group discounts) in other sections. If you are a member of official US Soccer supporter club, you will be able to buy the tickets tomorrow, before they will be available to general public.

Bus- We will be working on getting a charter bus, and if anyone's interested going up as a group, please reply here or email Tom directly. We will need to know how many people are interested.

Tailgate- I am working on the tailgate detail with the other chapters. I will keep you posted, so please check back often.

    So who's in??

You are an official US Soccer supporter club member, right? So you guys can get the tickets tomorrow with a discount if you get 20 people (combined with Tom's group, I think his group wants midfield seats). Maybe he'll know more tomorrow.

I am getting tickets in supporter's section. If anyone else reading this wants tickets in other than supporter's section, and would like to get a group discount, please reply or email Tom directly. PM me if you need his email address.

This is the email I got from

    Hello Outlaws!

The US Men's National team is going to play a January friendly at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA against Honduras! It will be Saturday, January 23rd at 6 pm. I have a company that can rent us a bus to take up there for likely around $20 each given the amount of time it would take us to get up there, watch the game and get back. Here are the ticket prices for the game:

    $55 Midfield
    $42 Sidelines
    $33 Corners
    $26 Endlines

    $55 - Midfield
    $42 - Sidelines
    $33 - Corners
    $26 - Endlines

There will be no ticket charges if we do a group ticket purchase of 20 or more in a single section, if not, then Ticketmaster charges will apply.

The American Outlaws site is selling tickets for $36 in the supporters section, which is where the Riot Squad sits for LA Galaxy games and it is in the southeast corner of the stadium.

Please email me back ASAP if you are interested in going, how many tickets you would want and what your first and second choice seating preference would be. I can buy the tickets in advance if we do a group purchase. My preference is to sit at the midfield, the seats are great and with no ticket charges, it is not bad considering how many times a year I get to watch the team. I have at least 5 people already interested in those seats and the bus, so with as little as 15 more people we could get the group rate. Tickets go on pre-sale on Thursday and I think I could buy them then, but for sure the tickets will be available by Friday. Let me know quickly so that I can order the tickets when they go on sale. Cheers, Tom

Nice to see that a large group from San Diego will be making the trip up here. I applaude all of you and hope that we here in LA can return the favor if and when the USA plays in San Diego.

But if I may correct something on your post, there is actually no confirmation on the section that we are getting at the stadium just yet.

Also, and pardon my bluntness, but why do you prefer to sit away from the rest of the American Outlaws? The purpose of the American Outlaws is to bring people from all over and unite for the purpose of supporting the United States soccer team. The US fanbase is small (especially in the state of California). We should all be working together to make the supporters section as big, loud and festive for the sake of the team and the rest of the USA fans at the stadium.

Again, I applaude the commitment of the San Diego chapter to come to LA in big numbers, but what I don't understand is your need to stay away from the rest of us.

I know since the game is close I am bringing family members.. I dont think they could handle standing the whole game. Plus its just a friendly. Normally we would sit in supporters sec. Just not doing it for this game.

It's not like the match is next week. But if you've asked them and that's how they feel then so be it. Though there is still over a month before the match is played.

Aside from the first WCQ to kick off the road to South Africa which featured the A-Team (but fans refused to attend because it was against "inferior" competition) and two Gold Cup matches (one of which people were only there for the Guatemala vs El Salvador match prior to), we usually only get friendly matches at the HDC. Taking that into consideration, will we ever see you stand with the LA American Outlaws?

Thank you El Chuma for standing with us.

Bad565 and his crew will be in South Africa for the WC, travelling on the Outlaw package, so I am confident that they will represent us well. They will be carrying and guarding our banner.

For those who are interested in taking the charter bus with us, please let me know asap. We need to know how many will be on the bus. It will be a fun ride, and no one has to drink and drive!

Last I heard, our bus is almost full, and we have only a few seats left. So if you would like to be on the "bus list" please email Tom asap.

    Updates:
Bus- Our charter bus seats are sold out. There's a wait list but personally I am not sure how many people will cancel the trip. If you still want to be on a wait list please contact Tom, our membership coordinator.

As an alternative, I was thinking, if any of you would like to make a "carpool request" thread, maybe that's not a bad idea at all. For new BS members who can't start a thread I can make one for you too.

Tailgate- Noonish (?) to 5pm (one hour before the kickoff) @
    Off Campus Pub
    18413 Avalon Boulevard
Carson, CA 90746 (Across the Street from Home Depot Center)

For those attending the game, please wear (or at least bring) your AO shirt and bandana. We will be taking a group picture on the day of the game. The pictures will be used on our chapter website.

For those who are travelling on the bus with us, I strongly suggest you to bring food on board. We may not have enough time to grab a bite before the game, considering the possible traffic. The tailgate location (pub) does NOT serve food. There are fast food places around the HDC, but bringing food onto the bus will be a cheaper option.

No offense meant to the LA Outlaws! I knew we were going to have people who did not want to stand all game. This is our first game and in the future we will certainly sit with other Outlaws. We have not even all met each other - we are over 50 members now and this game is the first time many of us will be face to face. Looking forward to cheering on the USA with you at HDC Saturday. Hey Guys,

I'm brand new to San Diego (just moved out here a few months ago for grad school) and just found out about the American Outlaws supporter club.

I'm going to be heading up to the game tomorrow night (just picked up some tickets for the general section b/c I didn't know any better), but I'll try to look out for some of you guys while I'm there. I'll also be heading to South Africa with 10 of my friends from college, so hopefully we can meet up with some of you guys before/after the games there.
