Evans got a red card for his tackle on Holden, and there was only one idiot on here arguing against its legitimacy. Why bring that up again?
because he's a goon who plays for Man-U and any chance to take a shot at either is a good shot to take
Holden has been out for so long, I expect he'll be re-introduced slowly. He may be back in full trianing by the end of this month, but he must be a long way from match fitness - it'll be a few weeks before he's ready to play in a serious game and expect a number of reserve appearances and cameos as a substitute before he's intergrated back in to the team.
Even if he starts playing by November, it'll take almost the entire season just to get up to speed. It doesn't help that he will be playing on a terrible Bolton squad.
Tbh I think if he plays for the Bolton first team this year then his recovery is going very well as it'll be almost November before he even starts training with Bolton. For him to recover his form by the end of the season is I think as much as anyone has the right to hope for. I think Bolton and USMNT fans (moreso the former) are massively over-optimistic over the timescale it'll take for him to be back and on-form. I get the feeling Bolton fans expect to see him back in a matter of weeks rescuing their season. If I were to be pessimistic, I'd say a lot of players who've had length lay-offs due to ACL or cartilage injuries (and Holden has had both) have never fully recovered (for example the footballing legend jcsd tore his cartilage six years ago and has only played one game of football since). But to be fair to Holden, he has an excellent attitude and that goes a long way when recovering from this type of injury.
I think after the break is a reasonable estimate to see him getting significant consistent minutes. If he's still the same player that is.
I'm getting excited! Let's do this Stu! Be careful and take it slow, but let's get it on! From Thur: The assassin in action.
Big news this morning: And Owen Coyle is fired as Bolton's manager, Mick McCarthy favorite to replace him, per the Guardian http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/oct/09/owen-coyle-sacked-bolton-wanderers
