I have heard from a mildly trustworthy source that he is quite the ladies man, actually. So take that as you will.

Stu to remain in the US for training a little longer:

    http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/spor.../9805355.Zat_back_in_fold_after_signing_deal/

Meanwhile, Coyle has confirmed that Stuart Holden has been granted extra time in the States to complete his rehabilitation programme before returning for light training duties at Euxton.
The US international has now started running again nine months after knee surgery on damaged cartilage and though he could be hurried in order to play against Burnley in the opening game of the season, Coyle is happy to adopt a safety-first approach.
“I don’t anticipate Stuart being available for the first few games,” he said.

“Where we are, we could push him to the maximum and have him, but we need to use kid gloves because there are so many games in the Championship.
“He’s over in America just now and he’s comfortable in that environment.
“I would hope not too far into it he’ll be ready to return.”

That's good to see. There are 8 more games in the championship, plus 2 potential playoff games, so just make sure he's ready.

He was their best player before he went down, (which is why he was the fans and players player of the year) no reason that should change after relegation.

I hope this is the case; always been a fan of Stu Holden. But does anybody really come back from these protracted knee injuries? (for example Jack Willshire, JOB...) Here's to his full recovery and a great season.

I was looking for the latest on him and was reminded that he was declared out for 6 months at the end of last September. So it looks like it could actually be a full year. According to the BWFC site, this is the last year of his contract, so i hope he gets back and has a great year. If he does, I think he'll still have to sign a shorter term or non-traditional contract. The guy deserves some good news with everything he's gone through and how hard he seems to work to get back, so I hope he makes it.

Thats why I found it so odd when I found out his return was set for around then. I thought he would have been set to return for the new season. I will say with a wait until then, theres probably no chance of a relapse. His last relapse probably inspired further preparation here.

    Not really.

    http://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/article/holden-update-24.8.12-331842.aspx

“He’s doing well at this moment in time. He had a cleanout operation three weeks ago and is feeling a lot better from that.
“It’s one of those ones that we have to do in Stuart’s own time. We have to give him as much time as we can until he feels that both physically and mentally it’s time for him to step things up.
What he’s had to do recently has been minimal if truth be told, but he has been doing well.

The "clean out" is probably a scope where you walk out of the hospital afterwards. Not a big deal at all.
