2 goals and 2 assists in league play according to this link. Did he score in a Cup game? http://soccernet.espn.go.com/player/_/id/89451/fabian-johnson?cc=5901
Ya, I looked at that too. I'm almost positive it's 3 despite that though. Ya: http://www.bundesliga.com/en/liga/clubs/1899-hoffenheim/spieler.php?player=30584 I even feel like that's wrong too but I'm sure it's not.
Thanks for the info. I actually had 3 in my original post and then edited it to two when I read the ESPN stats
thr big question is donovansa best days behind him and does he really want it all that much like he did as a kid i want newer talent to emerge at a high level, talent to take usa14 byond 2012... there are more options than bofe
Not trying to be rude or anything but sometimes when you post, I have no idea what you seem to say. Although I do agree that Donovan's "best days" are behind him.
This is a road game. I think the priority will be on not allowing a goal, rather than scoring one. Therefore, put your best defenders on defense and go from there. That means Johnson at LB and Dolo are RB, with Cameron in the middle. We have some pretty good FB depth (Chandler, Parkhurst, Castillo, even Williams & Spector). The issue is who will partner Cameron? I still think Boca will be back in time. If he's not, then Goodson is still the favorite to deputize, despite his recent struggles. Edu and Gonzalez next. Onyewu if he's playing even sporadically. Then Besler & Orozco. Or DeMerit. Whitbread is a long shot, as he won't be able to come in in January like Gonzo, DeMerit (if called), Besler, and probably Edu (since he isn't in the 18). It's along way from not being called in a year then starting an away qualifier in Honduras. I'd expect JK to lean on guys who have proven they can do it (Boca, Onyewu, Goodson, Demerit) before turning to guys who are more unproven.
Warmer weather in February sounds like a vacation. I think most US players like that decision and welcome it.
The further south you go (country wise) the further you are also going east, by the time you get to Peru you are at the same time as the east coast.
don't understimate the humidity factor. I'm sure JK will have them training somewhere in Florida to get them ready.
Thanks, and that is true. But, I'm not going to Peru. My "hour adjustment/calculation" note was referencing daylights savings time in the US, and I'm not certain if (or how) they observe that twice-annual time-offsetting in Honduras. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedform.html?p1=245
Just go to the world clock and enter the date of the game in the meeting planner, and enter either Reykjavic (if game time given is UTC) or the city where the game is played (if game time given is local) in the first slot, and your own city in the second. Hit "show timetable." If the game time is after 5 pm, just use the date for the day after the game, and the times will appear near the top, in the strikethrough lines. The software corrects for all the different daylight savings dates around the world. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meeting.html PS: Now they also have an "Event Time Announcer" that seems even easier to use, but haven't tested it yet. London goes one hour ahead of UTC in summer; Reykjavic keeps the same as UTC all year.
Agreed. But one is likely to get a different answer from that google query in the winter and the summer, given that many nations do not observe daylight savings time. And that was the point of my initial response. Honduras is 2 hours behind US Eastern time in the summer, but only one hour behind US Eastern time in the winter (Feb is when the game is played).
That was quick! http://www.soccerbyives.net/2012/12/bocanega-close-to-returning-from-hamstring-injury.html He should at least be fit by January with a chance to earn a spot on the roster/starting 11 for the Honduras game.
Day light savings is an American invention, and even some places here don't do it, like Arizona or at least Phx doesn't.
http://www.timeanddate.com/time/dst/history.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time Spelled out as a concept by a New Zealander in 1895 and evolved in Europe, but some view good 'ol Benjamin Franklin as coming up with the general concept in an essay from 1784. FWIIW.
The some pretty decent ideas have started as "kind of a joke." http://www.geek.com/articles/geek-c...light-savings-it-was-kind-of-a-joke-20110314/
