Brian Ching and Eddie Johnson tied in 2004, and Twellman and Ruiz did it in 2003. I think those are the only two times.

Assists are the tiebreaker, so DeRo has that locked down (12 to 3).

The Golden Boot has only been an official MLS trophy since 2005.

That's right, there was some point scoring system that gave two points for a goal and one for an assist.

DeRo switched team twice this season. Did he actually have the advantage to play more games? Some teams have bye week or Wed games. I don't have the numbers. Just an idea.

Too bad, especially since several of DeRo's goals have been from PKs that he didn't earn himself. I think the number that counts should be the number of goals scored in the run of play.

Or at least the tiebreaker should be based on run of play goals.

He's retired, too. hc897 is using the present tense.

Sorry about that, reading these boards can make a guy cranky.

Wondo was on KNBR this morning, live from the golf course (didn't say which). Friggin' Radnich starts the interview with "Chris Wondolowski, leading goal scorer for the San Jose Sharks." This guy needs to follow Andy Rooney into the sunset.

95.7 The Game is way better than KNBR anyway.

Wondo did his part by extolling knowledge of the World Series (they asked him to name three St. Louis Cardinals, and then cut him off as he was naming a fifth and kept on going), Carson Palmer, and differences between Seattle and SJ fans. Guy knows sports.

No, don't have him follow Andy. Andy is funny some of the time.

Wondo has a really really good strike rate. 33 in the last 57 (2010 & 2011).

"The 'Oh, he’s just a flash in the pan' crowd" must refer to that redheaded asshole known as Alexi Lalas.

    From the article:

"Of all the awards I've ever won, this one hits home the most. I was touched by Andrew's story and receiving this honor means more to me than wins, losses, goals or anything else," Wondolowski said.
