Was at the game. Hertha won 1-0. It was interesting how they build from the back and how many touches Brooks gets.

As in Brooks is good with the ball and they trust him?

Yep, I watched some of this game and it was surprising how much he was on the ball for a defender. He appears to have nice long passing skills which is always great to have in a CB. He looked massive out there, like at least 6'5"

As in that is the system the coach wants them to play and Brooks fits very well into that system. He looks smooth on the ball and won almost all 50/50 challenges.

Would most likely say not yet. Let him get a full season under his belt and then see how it goes. Do I think he could play better than Goodson did in Russia? Still not sure. The tools are there but not the experience which didn't help out Goodson too much either. I would have said Camp Cupcake, but since that isn't going to happen anymore, not sure when to bring him in.

maybe, definitely Gold Cup. Seems like Gonzo is next on Jurgens list though, and Besler really deserves a look too

Hopefully JK doesn't think he's too young for the USMNT.

I think it'd be best to call him up for the Hex just to get him in with the team. He'll most likely be playing at the highest level of any CB by next season (if Hertha stay on pace) and he'll also be given the opportunity to maintain his starting spot in the Bundesliga given his play so far. That means he could be starting by the last of the qualifiers as the other options are aging Boca and crappy/inconsistent Goodson. Then theres Gonzo but he's been just meh through the playoffs so far. If i had to guess, Brooks, Cameron, Boca and Gonzo are the ones that get the call for the last couple qualies.
