Some cartel members had lost a lot of money gambling on the Colombia's WC games, and were mad at the team. This is what happens when you hang out with narcos, just like Maturranga, Bolillo and pretty much the whole team in WC94 used to do. Bolillo is the only coach to be beaten up and shot at in Ecuador, and to be supposedly threathened in WC94. Besides, how in hell is this relevant for his coaching skills? Bolillo was an assistant in both 1990 & 1994 qualifiers. result? we ended up qualified. Bolillo was the head coach in 1998 qualifiers. result? we ended up qualified. Bolillo was Ecuador's coach in 2002 qualifiers. result? Ecuador qualified for their first ever WC.

Almost a decade later, in 2009... Bolillo was the head coach in SantaFe, with a very expensive team. Result? Total failure. in 2012.. Bolillo took over DIM Did the team do any better with him? Not really.. the team is still on the brink of being relegated to the B. Of course, the excuse now is that Bolillo is "only" a national team coach, so his miserable failures as a regular team coach don't count.. LOL!

At first thought this would be a horrible choice by paraguay. Their style of play is so far from bolillos that it would be a disaster to join the two. Paraguay has always played with pelotazos and headers and direct vertical play with few touches. To combine that with bolillos toque-toque para atras is that madness or genious? Anyway can't see what they see in him, but hopefully he'll sign for them. I want him as far away from colombia as possible
