Not sure what the story is with Pepe as he has been named on the squad and then disappears. Nothing official listed about any injury. Isla was damaged goods before he got here, so I have not included him on the list. Basically listing injuries that occur with the team.

    1. Caceres / first-second degree tear of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee/ 23 July (45 days)
    2. Pepe / First degree tear of left thigh muscle / 23 July (20 days)
    3. Buffon/ thigh strain / 21 Aug (one match?)
    4. Lucio / torn ligaments ankle / 23 Aug (6 weeks)

Lucio is on the squad for this weekend as is Isla (he was injured before arriving to Juve, so we won't count that). I added Pepe back on the list as he has not been featured on a single roster for the official season. Maybe his recovery is taking longer than expected.

Where would Pepe fit on this club anyways. He is like 3rd choice for the right side.

so yea what is the story on pepe?
he was so instrumental last year, how can we just drop him like that?? i know 3-5-2 is working but we need to be a bit flexible on the formation too...switch to 4-3-3 sometimes

I am actually glad to have Pepe back at our disposal. He can definitely help us out on the wings and provide an mutli-positional player coming off the bench as well.

I like Pepe. It'll be good to have him chipping out of the bunker again.

Gigi Buffon this morning underwent tests at the city’s Clinica Fornaca and Istituto di Medicina dello Sport medical centres. These identified an area of inflammation in the goalkeeper’s adductor longus thigh muscle. His condition will be monitored on a daily basis.
Claudio Marchisio was also subject to medical examinations at the Clinica Fornaca after sustaining a back problem in Italy’s encounter with Denmark. These ruled out any permanent damage, with the midfielder free to resume training tomorrow.
Mirko Vucinic reported back to Vinovo with flu-like symptoms and will be provided with the required treatment.
Simone Pepe will continue with his individual training programme in order to reach peak physical condition.
Over the past few days, Paolo De Ceglie has felt muscular fatigue in his left thigh and is currently undergoing an individual training programme to regain full fitness.

Not sure if we count the flu as an injury. I put it there as Vucinic misses out on the match. I have no problem removing him from the list. BTW, Pepe is not really with the team any longer. The guy impersonating him goes by the name of Vicenzo.

I tell you, Iaquinta is wearing the no. 7 jersey ...

Simone Pepe, however, drops out of the reckoning after reporting a calf problem during yesterday’s workout. The midfielder is expected to return to full training within the next two to three days.
