I am a senior citizen of soccer in the United States from the midwest where soccer is a little newer. However, I have a little more experience than most men from the middle. My first coach in high school was from Chile, Rev Phillips!! A returning refugee from the Pinochet's murderous crack down. My second coach was from Brazil, Salvador Da Silva! And yes we called him "Salvador." I also played in college with some fair Iranian students. I coached in Pennsylvania a few years at a few various levels that ended with nothing worth bragging about. I have returned to a heavily involved soccer town dominated by hispanics in the midwest. I now just coach a high school team indoor winter team. We did ok, and even defeated the big dogs from a high school that is over 50% hispanic and dominating the soccer fields here and elsewhere. Otherwise, we are pretty mediocre like most my teams. dammit. I have a degree in law and law license and my job will soon return me to the east. C'est la vie.
