Hello fellow devoted soccer fans! I am new to Big Soccer and am certainly very excited to be a part of this online soccer community. I am currently writing my PhD dissertation on "soccer fan satisfaction", in particular measuring how FIFA and its associated member organizations are perceived by fans, with respect to their ability to govern the game. I am surveying fan sentiment on topics such as racism, doping, fair play, technology, environmental and health impacts, and others relating to the beautiful game. I have played soccer all my life at both amateur and professional levels, and now as an academic, I am very glad to be able to continue to contribute to the sport via my research project, which is designed to establish for soccer leaders and soccer organizations a decision-making apparatus upon which to make the game better for all who love the sport.
