    I didn't watch the match, but in the Espanyol forums the fans say the only stand out was the defense, really solid... they mention specially the two guys in the picture above... Jordi Amat and Héctor.

    The first half they didn't really have much to do.

    The second half they got overrun in midfield and they were under constant pressure, they handled it well they were unlucky on the goal. THe shot had nothing but it deflected of an Espanyol player and it went into the net.

    But they couldn't generate anything going forward the most dangerous plays they had were off set pieces.

    From the games I've seen (the latest this past weekend) Moreno looked solid... I did notice he doesn't go forward as much as he used to, like when he was with Alkmaar, but it's probably because this is a new team... I believe most of Espanyol's goals have come from set pieces (someone else mentioned it already) so they don't have much going forward, but overall, they should be fighting for mid-table status if not better...

    I guess it's cuz Javi Marquez have been a hole in the midfield, periquitos haven been complaining about the midfield in the last match.
